Tamil Nadu GDS Result 2026, Download GDS Merit List

The India Post GDS Result 2026 is set to be released on the official India Post GDS portal, and candidates who applied for the 28,740 vacancies in the Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS), Branch Postmaster (BPM), and Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) posts can download their circle-wise Merit Lists. The Tamil Nadu GDS result is expected to be released on 28th February 2026, with state-wise PDF files becoming available for download for all postal circles, including Tamil Nadu. The Tamil Nadu circle will issue its state-wise Merit List PDF containing the shortlisted candidates’ details, based on their 10th class (matriculation) marks. Candidates shortlisted under the Tamil Nadu GDS Merit list will be required to appear in the document verification round. The Tamil Nadu GDS Result 2026 Merit List will be released on the official portal of India Post at indiapostgdsonline.gov.in. Candidates can visit the website and download the Tamil Nadu circle-wise PDF to check their registration number in the merit list once the result is declared. The result PDF includes details of candidates such as names of post offices, names of posts, and cut-off percentage, and will be called for document verification.

Steps to Download Tamil Nadu GDS Merit List 2026

Candidates can follow the steps below to check the Tamil Nadu GDS Result 2026 once it is released by India Post:

1. Visit the official website: indiapostgdsonline.gov.in.
2. On the homepage, click on the GDS Result 2026 or Merit List link.
3. Select the Tamil Nadu Postal Circle from the list of circles.
4. Download the Merit List PDF and open it.
5. Use Ctrl + F to search for your Registration Number/Name in the list.

Tamil Nadu GDS Cut-Off 2026

The selection process for GDS vacancies in Tamil Nadu is based on the cut-off marks. Candidates must obtain the required qualifying marks if they want to be shortlisted. Indian Postal Department will prepare the cut-off list according to the category of the candidate i.e. General, OBC, SC/ST, EWS, and Others.

What Happens After Result Declaration

Shortlisted candidates in the Tamil Nadu GDS merit list must appear for Document Verification (DV) on the specified date and venue. Candidates should carry original certificates such as Class 10 mark sheet, identity proof, caste/EWS certificate (if applicable), and any other required documents.

The shortlisted candidates will have to produce the following documents in the document verification round-

1. 10th/SSC/SSLC Original Marks Memo of the candidates
2. Caste or Community Certificate (For candidates from reserved category)
3. 60 days Computer knowledge Trained Certificate From a recognized institute
4. Physically Handicapped Certificate (If Applicable)
