The RRB Technician Exam for Grade I Signal positions is conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode.
- Questions: It includes multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
- Total Questions: 100 questions in total, carrying 100 marks.
- Penalty: For every wrong answer, 1/3rd marks will be deducted. No marks will be deducted for unanswered questions.

RRB Technician Gr III Exam Pattern
The exam follows a similar pattern for Technician Gr III positions but with slight variations.
- Mode: Conducted in CBT mode.
- Question Type: Objective-type multiple-choice questions.
- Penalty: 1/3rd of the original marks deducted for each incorrect answer. There are no negative markings for unanswered questions.

RRB Technician Minimum Qualifying Marks
In the Exam for Both Grade I and III posts, candidates are required to score minimum marks as mentioned below. Those who score the minimum qualifying marks in the CBT Exam will only be selected for Document Verification. The category-wise marks are as follows:

- OBC/SC: 30%
- ST: 25%

Candidates who qualify for Part A of the Second Stage CBT will undergo Document Verification, based on their performance, provided they clear Part B of the Second Stage CBT.
