Supreme Court JCA Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility conditions have two major components, educational qualification and computer typing ability. The eligibility conditions are to be fulfilled as on 1 September 2026.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have:
- A Bachelor’s degree from a recognised University in India.
- Knowledge of computer operation.
- A minimum typing speed of 35 words per minute on computer.

Typing Speed Test
The Typing Speed Test will be conducted on a computer in English language. Candidates need to achieve a minimum speed of 35 words per minute. The test carries 50 marks, with 25 marks as the minimum qualifying marks. The notification permits mistakes up to 3% of the total words typed. An error has been defined as:
- An error involving a word or figure is treated as a full mistake.
- Wrong typing of a capital letter as a small letter, or vice versa, is treated as half a mistake.
- Omission, addition or substitution of punctuation marks is treated as half a mistake.
Descriptive Test Pattern
The Written Test (Descriptive) will be conducted in English and will carry 100 marks. The duration of the Descriptive Test is 2 hours, with 50 marks as the minimum qualifying marks. It will consist of:
- Comprehension passage
- Precis Writing
- Essay Writing
Supreme Court JCA Interview 2026
The candidates who qualify the Objective Type Test, Typing Speed Test and Descriptive Test will be shortlisted for the Interview. The Interview will carry 25 marks, and candidates must secure a minimum of 13 marks to qualify.
Supreme Court of India JCA Salary 2026
The Junior Court Assistant post is classified as a Group B Non-Gazetted post and is placed in Level 6 of the Pay Matrix. The basic salary is Rs. 35,400 and monthly in hand salary is approximately Rs. 72,040 per month.

Supreme Court JCA Answer Key 2026
The notification states that the answer key for the Objective Type Test will be uploaded on 22 November 2026. The tentative objection window will remain open from 22 November to 23 November 2026, up to 11:55 PM. Candidates can submit objections through the online mode. A fee of Rs. 100 per objection will be charged, which will be refunded if the objection is found valid.
