IBPS RRB Notification 2026 (CRP RRB XV) Out for 13706 Posts, Check Official PDF

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released the IBPS RRB Notification 2026 to recruit eligible candidates in Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) (ग्रामीण बैंक) across India. A total of 13706 vacancies have been announced for RRB PO, Clerk, GBO, IT Officer, Law Officer, AFO, etc.

The online application process is currently active from 1st to 21st September 2026 at www.ibps.in, and candidates with a Bachelor's degree can apply. As per the announced schedule, the Officer Scale I (PO) Prelims will be conducted on 21 and 22 November 2026, while the Office Assistant (Clerk) Prelims are scheduled for 6, 12, and 13 December 2026. Candidates can access the official notification PDF here.

IBPS RRB 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria to apply for IBPS RRB. The IBPS RRB Eligibility Criteria include educational qualifications, age limit, and experience, which have been detailed here.

IBPS RRB Age Limit (As on 1/9/2026)

The RRB age limit varies depending on the post. As per the age criteria mentioned in the notification, the age of candidates is calculated as on 1 September 2026. The post-wise age limits are as follows:

  • Office Assistant (Multipurpose)/Clerk: 18 to 28 years
  • Officer Scale I (Assistant Manager)/PO: 18 to 30 years
  • Officer Scale II (Manager): 21 to 32 years
  • Officer Scale III (Senior Manager): 21 to 40 years

Candidates must fall within the prescribed age limit for the respective post to be eligible for IBPS RRB Recruitment 2026. Age relaxation is applicable to candidates belonging to reserved categories as per government rules.

Can Final Year Students Apply for IBPS RRB?
As per the eligibility rules, candidates must have a graduation degree from a recognized university on or before the last date of online application. Since the result of final-year students may not be declared by then, they are not eligible to apply.

Candidates can apply for IBPS RRB only through the official website www.ibps.in. Here’s a quick guide to the application process:

  2. Enter your basic details to generate a registration number and password.
  3. Log in and fill in personal, educational, and communication details carefully.

  5. Complete the payment using a Debit/Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.

IBPS RRB 2026 Selection Process

The IBPS RRB Selection Process involves two stages: Prelims and Mains. On the other hand, the IBPS PO or Officer Scale I examination involves three stages: Prelims, Mains, and Interviews. As for the IBPS Officer Grade II (General Banking Officer and Specialist Cadre) and III, there is a single-window exam known as the IBPS Officer Grade II Exam, followed by an Interview. To secure a position in any of these posts, candidates must successfully clear each stage of the respective examinations.

IBPS RRB 2026 Exam Pattern

There will be a penalty of 0.25 marks for every incorrect response marked by the candidate. The test will be objective in nature.

The IBPS RRB Officer Scale 2 and 3 exams have only a Single exam and an Interview. The single online exam is nearly the same as the  IBPS RRB PO Mains exam.

From 2024 onwards, IBPS has introduced sectional timing in IBPS RRB Prelims Exam for both PO and Clerk. The consolidated duration of 45 mins is now bifurcated into 25 mins and 20 mins as mentioned above.
