Total vacancies have been dropped from 3,073 (2025) to 1,871 (2026), a fall of 1,202 vacancies, even after adding 234 new SI Fire posts.
- Delhi Police SI (Male): Increased from 142 to 205 (+63 vacancies).
- Delhi Police SI (Female): Increased from 70 to 112 (+42 vacancies).
- CAPF SI (GD): Sharp cut from 2,861 to 1,320 – a reduction of 1,541 vacancies.
- CISF SI (Fire): Entirely new stream, 234 vacancies, not available in previous years.

Candidates must satisfy all eligibility conditions prescribed by SSC before submitting the application form.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university or equivalent.
For the post of Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police (Male), candidates must possess a valid LMV (Motor Car) Driving License on the date fixed for the Physical Endurance and Measurement Tests.

All posts except SI (Fire) in CISF: 20 to 25 years. Candidates must be born between 2 August 2001 and 1 August 2006.

Application Correction Window
The Application Correction Window will be open from 8th October to 10th October 2026 (up to 11:00 PM). Candidates who have successfully submitted their online application along with the required fee within the prescribed deadline will be eligible to make corrections.
Candidates can modify and resubmit their application up to two times during this window. A correction fee of Rs. 200 for the first correction and Rs. 500 for the second correction will be applicable to all candidates.
