Candidates must know the eligibility criteria required for the SSC Stenographer Grade C and D posts. It includes age limit, educational qualification, typing skill, nationality, etc. Check detials here.
A candidate is required to be at least a 12th pass from a recognized Board or University. He/She must be able to produce the required documents when asked for verification after qualifying for the SSC Stenographer Exam.
For the SSC Stenographer Grade C Exam: Candidates must be between 18 and 30 years old. To be eligible, candidates should have been born not earlier than 02.08.1995 and not later than 01.08.2007.
For the SSC Stenographer Grade D Exam: Candidates must be between 18 and 27 years old. To be eligible, candidates should have been born not earlier than 02.08.1998 and not later than 01.08.2007.

The last date to submit the online application is 26th June 2025, by 11:00 PM. Candidates are advised to apply well before the deadline to avoid technical issues or delays due to heavy traffic on the website during the last few days. Fill out the form with personal, educational, and contact details, upload the required documents (photo and signature), and pay the applicable fee (₹100 for General/OBC; exempted for SC/ST/Female/PwD). Important: If your fee is not successfully received by SSC, your application will be marked “Incomplete” and rejected.
Step 6: Final Submission
The application fee for SSC Stenographer Online Form can be paid online only. The application fee is Rs. 100 (one hundred rupees only). However, Women, candidates from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), and Ex-servicemen (ESM) who are eligible for reservation do not need to pay any fee. If SSC does not receive the payment, your application will be marked as ‘Incomplete’ and this will be shown at the top of your application form printout.

The fee can be paid online only through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or using Debit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, or RuPay).
