SSC GD Exam Pattern 2025
Candidates who are going to appear in the SSC GD Constable Exam should be aware of the SSC GD syllabus and exam pattern. The GD exam will be based on the CBT. The questions are divided into 4 sections General intelligence and reasoning, General Knowledge & General Awareness, Elementary Mathematics, and English or Hindi based on candidate preference.
There will be 20 questions asked from every section. For Each correct question, candidates will get 2 marks and for each wrong question, there is a penalty of .25 marks. Candidates have 1 hour to complete the exam. Here we have mentioned the key information of the SSC GD Exam Pattern.
- The Written Exam is conducted online and is an MCQ Paper.
- Time Duration: 1 Hour
- 0.25 marks will be deducted against every question attempted wrong.

SSC GD Constable Physical Efficiency Test
After passing the written exam candidates need to appear for the physical efficiency test (PET). All the candidates need to pass the PET exam otherwise their candidature will be cancelled.

SSC GD Constable Physical Standard Test
Candidates who pass the written exam candidates need to appear for the physical standard test (PST) along with the PET exam. The candidate who fails to qualify for the PST their candidature will be cancelled.

SSC GD Medical Test
After qualifying for the physical standard and efficiency test (PET/PST) candidates will be called for the Medical examination. The medical standard is given in the table below. If you fail the medical exam you will be given one more chance to get yourself medical fit.
