The application process for the SSC MTS 2024 was available till 3rd August 2024. Candidates need to make sure that they fulfil the eligibility criteria, and they need to visit the official website to submit their application. Steps to Apply Online for SSC MTS 2024
The candidates can follow the steps mentioned below to apply online for the SSC MTS 2024 from the official website of Staff Selection Commission.
Step 1: Visit the official SSC website.
Step 2: Click on the “Register Now” option.
Step 3: Enter your Name, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Date of Birth, Class 10 exam details, Gender, Mobile Number, Email ID, and other basic information. Verify and submit the form. OTPs will be sent to verify your Mobile Number and Email ID.
Step 4: An auto-generated ‘Registration Number’ and ‘Password’ will be sent to your registered mobile number and email address.
Step 5: Log into the SSC MTS examination portal using the provided Registration Number and Password. Change the password immediately for security reasons.
Step 6: Complete the application form with your personal, contact, educational details, exam center preference, and other necessary information.
Step 7: After filling in all details, a declaration form will appear. Carefully review all information before submitting.
Step 8: Choose the examination center and provide relevant details.
Step 9: Upload scanned copies of your passport-sized photo and signature in the specified format.
Step 10: If applicable, pay the required fee; exempted candidates can skip this step.
Step 11: Double-check all provided details for accuracy. Agree to the declaration, input the captcha code, and click “Final Submit.”
Step 12: After successful submission, keep a printout of the filled SSC MTS application form for future reference.
SSC MTS 2024 Application Fee
The online application fee for the SSC MTS exam is an essential step in completing the online application process. You need to pay Rs. 100/- as the fee to successfully submit the application form. The application fee can be paid through Net Banking, Debit/Credit Card, Payment wallets, and UPI IDs.

SSC MTS 2024 Selection Process
There are two stages in the SSC MTS Selection Process such as a Computer-based Objective Type Paper and Physical Standard and Efficiency Test.
- SSC MTS Paper 1: It consists of two sessions and the exam is a computer-based Test. This computer-based exam will evaluate your abilities and knowledge.
- Physical Efficiency Test/Physical Standard Test: This is mandatory for the Havaldar post only. This step, which is exclusive to the Havaldar position, assesses your level of physical fitness
- Document Verification: The final stage is document verification in which certificates will be verified and a final merit list of selected candidates will be announced.
SSC MTS 2024 Exam Pattern
The SSC MTS 2024 Paper I will be held in 15 distinct languages, excluding the English section. The Computer-Based Examination will be divided into two sessions, namely Session-I and Session-II, both of which are compulsory for all candidates to attempt. Failure to participate in any session will result in disqualification of the candidate.
In Session 1, there will be two papers- Numerical and Mathematical Ability and Reasoning Ability and Problem-Solving. No negative marking will be there in this session.
In Session 2, there will be a penalty of 1 mark for each incorrect answer and the subjects included are- General Awareness and English Language. Check the marks distribution for each session below.
