RRB ALP 2024 Selection Process
Candidates who are going to appear for the RRB ALP 2024, must know that there are 4 stages of selection as given below:
- Stage I CBT: The RRB ALP Selection Process 2024 begins with the Computer-Based Test (CBT) Stage 1, serving as a qualifying examination.
- Stage II CBT: The CBT Stage II is split into two parts: Part A and Part B. Part A assesses candidates’ proficiency in mathematics, reasoning, basic science & engineering, and current affairs awareness. This section comprises 100 questions to be answered within 90 minutes.
- Computer-Based Aptitude Test: This test evaluates candidates’ cognitive abilities and decision-making skills, crucial for the Assistant Loco-Pilot role. A minimum score of 42 marks is required to pass this stage.
- Document Verification: Candidates who clear the previous stages undergo document verification, where they must present educational certificates, ID proof, caste certificates (if applicable), and other necessary documents.

RRB ALP Exam Pattern 2024 CBT 2

- Stage 2 of the RRB ALP Exam 2024 will consist of a total of 175 questions to be conducted in two parts i.e. Part A and Part B.

Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT)
Candidates appearing for the Assistant Loco Pilot post, are required to appear for the Computer-based Aptitude Test (CBAT). To qualify CBAT, candidates must achieve a minimum score of 42 marks in each of the test batteries.
The merit list for the Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) position will only include candidates who qualify for the Aptitude Test. The merit list calculation involves giving 70% weightage to the marks obtained in Part A of the Computer-Based Test (CBT) II and 30% weightage to the marks obtained in the Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT).
