IBPS PO Eligibility Criteria 2025 Nationality
IBPS has released the detailed IBPS PO Eligibility Criteria for the post of Probationary Officer in 11 Participating Banks. The applicant applying for the IBPS PO exam could be:
- A Citizen of India
- The subject of Nepal or Bhutan
- A Tibetan refugee who permanently settled in India before January 1, 1962
- Person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma, Vietnam, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania, Zaire, or Zambia with the intention of residing in India permanently.
- a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose Favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
IBPS PO Eligibility Criteria 2025 Age Limit
Applicants for the IBPS PO examination must be at least 20 years old and not older than 30 years at the time of registration. Eligible candidates should have birthdates between 02.07.1995 and 01.07.2005, inclusive of both dates. Check the age relaxation criteria for the various categories below.

IBPS PO Eligibility Criteria 2025 Qualification

- Graduation Degree: The eligibility requirement for the IBPS CRP exam is a graduation degree (such as BA, BCom, BSc, B.Tech, or similar) from a university recognized by the Government of India. Candidates who have obtained an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government are also eligible. Applicants must possess a valid mark sheet or degree certificate proving their graduate status on the day of registration and must provide the percentage of marks obtained in their graduation while registering for the IBPS Bank-PO exam.
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency in computer systems is essential both for the job and for taking the IBPS PO exam, which is conducted online.
IBPS PO Percentage Calculation
The percentage of marks will be calculated by dividing the candidate’s total marks in all subjects across all semesters or years by the aggregate maximum marks (including all subjects, regardless of honours, optional, or additional optional subjects) and then multiplying by 100.
This method applies even to universities where the class or grade is determined based solely on honours marks. Any fractional percentages will be disregarded; for instance, 49.99% will be considered less than 50%, and 54.99% will be considered less than 55%.
IBPS PO Medical Requirements
For the IBPS PO exam, candidates are required to submit a medical fitness certificate. Depending on eligibility, applicants must complete the following tests to verify and compare their medical report with other documents:

- Abdomen and pelvis ultrasonography
- HIV test with Serum Creatinine
- ESR (Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate)

IBPS PO 2025 Credit History
(i) Candidates must ensure they have a healthy credit history when joining the participating banks. The minimum required credit score will be determined according to the banks’ policies, which may be updated periodically.
(ii) If a candidate’s CIBIL status is not updated before the joining date, they must either update their CIBIL status or provide No Objection Certificates (NOCs) from lenders stating that there are no outstanding issues with the accounts reported negatively in CIBIL. Failure to do so may result in the withdrawal or cancellation of the offer letter. The final decision on this matter rests with the allocated bank.
