IBPS has released the detailed IBPS PO Eligibility Criteria for the post of Probationary Officer in 11 Participating Banks. The applicant for applying for the IBPS PO exam could be:

A Citizen of India
The subject of Nepal or Bhutan
A Tibetan refugee who permanently settled in India prior to January 1, 1962
Person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma, Vietnam, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania, Zaire, or Zambia with the intention of residing in India permanently.
a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India,
