NDA Selection Process 2023
NDA is one of the most popular exams among young aspirants and a huge number of candidates appear for the NDA exams every year with a dream of getting commissioned into the Indian Army. NDA Selection Process
The NDA exam is conducted by UPSC twice a year to induct cadets into the National defence academy later to get commissioned as Indian Army officers, the selection process involves 3 Steps, which are as follows
- NDA Written exam
- SSB Interview
- Medical Examination

NDA Selection Process 2023: SSB Interview
Candidates who clear the written test are called for an Interview which is quite tough and here your Personality and Intellect is analysed, the 5 days long interview decides whether or not you possess the qualities of an Officer. on clearing the Interview you get recommended by the Board.
The SSB Round consists of two stages:
- Stage I comprises Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) tests are Picture Perception * Description Test (PP&DT).
- Stage II Comprises of Interviews, Group Testing Officer Tasks, Psychology Tests and the Conference.
Medical Examination
Once the SSB results are out, the recommended candidates have to appear before the Medical Board, It takes 4 to 5 days time for the concerned Military Hospital to complete the medical board and after that, the candidates are dispersed. The President of the medical board will guide the candidates for Appeal/Review Medical Board procedures. Candidates may seek the advice of the President Special Medical Board for review/appeal in case they have been declared unfit.
The Final Call
Once the medical exams are over, a final merit list is made of the candidates who are declared medically fit, a candidate who makes it to the final merit list, without any doubt, will be part of the next batch of officers.
