UPSC has released the Combined Defence Forces (CDS) 1 2024 notification on the official website. Lakhs of aspirants have must be preparing for the exam. The CDS SSB Interviews are quickly approaching, constituting the second and crucial phase of the selection process. These interviews aim to evaluate candidates on various aspects, including their fundamental aptitude, general awareness, overall personality, and the manner in which they present themselves. CDS SSB Interview Overview

To qualify for the CDS Exam, candidates must undergo the mandatory CDS SSB interviews. Many students often try the best approach for preparing for these interviews. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) administers the CDS Exam, which serves as the gateway to the Indian Military, Naval, and Air Force Academy, ultimately leading to opportunities in the Indian Army, Indian Navy, and Indian Air Force. CDS SSB Interview Date 2024

UPSC CDS 1 2024 is scheduled for 21st April 2024. The exam will be completed in three shifts. Our experts, after analyzing all the subjects of CDS 1 2024, will also conclude about the estimated cutoff of the examination. The actual cut off will be declared with the CDS results. Candidates should spare no time to start the preparation for the CDS SSB. Keep in mind the golden rule: “The earlier you start here, the higher you score there.”

CDS SSB Interview Process

Each year, lakhs of students appear for this examination and only around 10000 students are shortlisted for the SSB interview. CDS exam consists of 3 sections, viz. General Knowledge, English, and Numerical Ability. Further, the overall cutoff is quite high after the SSB, so it’s always better to score higher in the written exam. Candidates should start their preparation harder for the CDS 1 2024 to score more.

CDS SSB Interview Process 2024

The Union Public Service Commission shall prepare a list of candidates who obtain the minimum qualifying marks in the written examination as fixed by the Commission in their discretion.

CDS SSB Interview 2024 involves 2 stages:

Candidates who will be declared successful in the written exam will be called for intelligence and personality test at the Service Selection Board based on their preference by the respective service HQ.

• Stage 1 consists of officer intelligence rating, picture perception, and description test.
• Stage 2 involves a psychology test, interview, group testing officer task, and conference.

Candidates who qualify in the written examination and given their first choice as Army (IMA/OTA) are required to register themselves on the recruiting directorate website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in in order to enable them to receive call up information for SSB Interview. Those candidates who have already registered on the recruiting directorate website are advised not to register again.

CDS OTA Selection Process 2024

CDS OTA SSB Interview 2024 involves 2 stages:

• Stage 1 consists of officer intelligence rating, picture perception, and description test.
• Stage 2 involves a psychology test, interview, group testing officer task, and conference.

CDS SSB Interview Process 2024

SSB Interview is a five days long procedure that includes two stages of testing as stage I & stage II. This procedure will be organized at the SSB Centers (designated by SSB).

Stage 1 is a screening test that consists of Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) tests and Picture Perception & Description Test (PP & DT), whereas Stage II consists of Psychology Tests, Group Testing Officer (GTO) Tasks, Interview& Conference. SSB Interview also includes Intelligence & Personality Test.

CDS SSB Interview Day 1- Screening Test

CDS SSB Interview Day 2- Psychology Tests

This test of the SSB Interview is viewed as generally precarious to break as it is assessed by logical techniques by the SSB assessors. Psychological test in the SSB Interview consists of the following series:

• Thematic Apperception Test (TAT)
• Word Association Test (WAT)
• Situation Reaction Test (SRT)
• Self Description Test (SDT)

CDS SSB Interview Day 3 & 4- Group Testing(GTO Tasks)

GTO consists of the following group exercises:

• Group Discussion
• Group Planning Exercise
• Progressive Group Tasks (PGT)
• Half Group Tasks
• Individual Obstacles
• Group Obstacles Race or Snake Race
• Command Task
• Lecturette
• Final Group Task

CDS SSB Interview Day 5 – Conference

After completion of all the tasks, the result is announced on the last day of the SSB Interview procedure and the selected candidates undergo the medical examination and then after a few months, a final merit list of the recommended candidates is announced.

UPSC will announce the CDS SSB Interview Dates soon. Qualified students will be called for SSB process. The dates of SSB and the admit card for the same will be available on the official website for which we will update you soon.

CDS 1 2024 Final Merit List

Once the SSB Interviews are over for all the candidates, UPSC will prepare the final merit list of students who will be sent to the Indian Military Academy (Dehradun), Indian Naval Academy (Goa), Air Force Academy (Hyderabad) and Officer Training Academy (Chennai). Candidates needs to clear both cut off individually in order to be in the final merit list.
