AFCAT 1 2024 Exam

The Indian Airforce had published a notification for AFCAT 1 2024 Exam on 18th November 2023. For AFCAT 1 2024, registration started from 1st December 2023 and completed on 30th December 2024. How To Apply for AFCAT 1 2024
The first step to apply for the AFCAT 1 2024 Application for is to complete the Registration process which includes the following steps:
- Step 1: Visit the official website or click on the link provided.
- Step 2: On the new page that appears, click on “New User Register” if you are a first-time user.
- Step 3: Enter your mobile number and email address to register.
- Step 4: An OTP (One-Time Password) will be sent to your mobile number and email. Fill in the OTP and click on “Submit.”
- Step 5: You will receive your Login ID and Password via SMS and email.
The second step is the login process that need the following steps to be followed:
- Step 1: Log in using your Registration Number and Password.
- Step 2: Select the post you are applying for.
- Step 3: Fill in the required details, including educational qualifications.
- Step 4. Pay the examination fee online using a Credit/Debit Card or Internet Banking.
- Step 5. Upload scanned copies of your photograph and signature.
- Step 6. Upload all the required certificates.
- Step 7. Submit the application.
- Step 8. Print out the acknowledgment for records.

AFCAT 1 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Before applying for AFCAT 1 2024 exam candidates must know about the eligibility criteria and must fulfill it and includes nationality, age limit and educational qualification to be eligible for AFCAT 1 2024 exam. The upper age limit for candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA (India) is relaxation up to 26 years i.e. born between 02 July 1998 to 01 July 2004 (both dates inclusive).
- Ground Duty (Technical/ Non-Technical) Branches. 20 to 26 years as on 01 January 2025 i.e. born between 02 January 1999 to 01 January 2005 (both dates inclusive).
AFCAT 1 2024 Educational Qualification
The educational qualification for the Flying Branch & Ground Duty (Non-Technical), candidates should achieved a minimum of 50% marks in physics and mathematics at the 10+2 level along with graduation degree or a BE/BTech degree with a minimum of 60% from a recognized university. For the Ground Duty (Electronics) candidates need to secure a minimum of 50% marks in physics and mathematics at the 10+2 level and hold a degree in graduation/post-graduation in the field of engineering and technology with minimum 60% marks from a recognized university. AFCAT 1 2024 Written Exam Pattern
AFCAT 2024 Written Exam is an entry-level exam for candidates. One must need to score the minimum qualifying marks (or the cut-off being announced by the Indian Air Force) in order to get the call letter for AFSB. A candidate needs to clear both the Written Exam as well as AFSB Interview in order to get their names in the final merit list.

AFCAT AFSB (Air Force Selection Board)
AFSB is the second phase of the exam. Candidates who clear the written exam will receive call letters for AFSB Interview round. Selected Candidates will be called at one of the Air Force Selection Boards.
- This stage is a 5 day process in which the candidate has to perform various types of intellectual and mental tasks. There will be an interview round on the last day.
- The candidate will be evaluated on the basis of his/her performance in all tasks.
- Candidates who have applied for NCC Special Entry and Meteorological Branch will be directly called for AFSB test at one of the AFSB centres.

As per the latest notification, the basic pay of Flying Officer is Rs. 56,100. In addition, the following allowances are admissible to newly commissioned officers in the Flying and Technical branches. Flying allowance for Flying Branch Officers is Rs 11250 per month.
