Maa Bharati Ke Sapoot

The primary duty of the army is to protect its nation. To perform this duty, many soldiers of the army even sacrifice their lives so that the residents living in the country could leave peacefully. In order to honour their contribution towards the country and their people, there was a demand again and again from the general public, countrymen and industrial organizations that such a welfare fund could be established where they could contribute to the soldiers. Keeping this demand in mind, the Defense Minister of India launched Maa Bharti Ke Sapoot portal on 14 October 2022.

This fund is used to provide immediate financial assistance to the families of soldiers who are martyred or grievously injured in active military operations of the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force. Amitabh Bachchan has been chosen as the brand ambassador of this website on his 80th birth anniversary.

Purpose of Maa Bharati ke Sapoot Portal

The main objective of introducing Maa Bharati ke Sapoot Portal is to provide an online platform to the general public, patriots, industrial organizations and businessmen to help the martyred soldiers or soldiers injured during war or other military operations. With the help of this portal, people would be able to provide financial assistance to the families of soldiers who laid their lives and to those who got seriously injured in active military operations of the Indian Army, Indian Air Force and Indian Navy. Because it is also the moral and national duty of the general public to help the families of their martyrs and injured soldiers.

“During the Coronavirus pandemic, actor Akshay Kumar contributed Rs 25 crore to the PM Cares Fund. I have raised this demand. Now any armed forces can contribute to War Casualty Welfare Fund by visiting Maa Bharti Ke Sapoot Portal . It is our national responsibility to stand with the families of the fallen heroes”, says Shri Rajnath Singh at a virtual event in New Delhi.
