There are many entries through which a person can join the Indian Army in order to fulfil the dream of serving the nation. Among all such entries, one is through getting a sports quota. One can join the Indian Army on the post of Havildar or Naib Subedar directly if the person is very good at any one of these games. Indian army always tries its best to give chance to every talent of the country to become a part of it and this entry justifies it totally. Eligibility Criteria for Direct Entry Naib Subedar / Equivalent

(i)
  1. Winner of any medal in Senior National Championship/National Games.
(ii)
  1. Winner of Gold Medal at Junior National Championship.
(iii)
  1. In case of team events, an individual should be a playing member of the National Team or playing member of the finalist team in Senior National Championships / National Games.

Eligibility Criteria for Direct Entry Havildar

(i) Represented a State or Country in National/International competitions either at the Senior or Junior level.
(ii) Represented University in Inter-University Tournaments conducted by Inter-University Sports Board.
(iii)
  1. Represented State School Teams in National Sports or Games for Schools conducted by All India School Games Federation.
(iv) Represented District Team in State Sports conducted by State Sports Federations.

Note: The list of games as applicable for direct Havildar entry would be considered for enrolment of meritorious sportsmen from Unit HQ quota or from the Zones.
