The Commission has scheduled the CBT from 27th April to 30th May 2026 for 25,487 Constable (General Duty) vacancies. SSC GD Exam Pattern 2026
Candidates appearing for the Exam should be well-acquainted with the syllabus and exam pattern. Each correct answer awards 2 marks, while 0.25 marks are deducted for every incorrect response. The duration of the exam is 1 hour.

SSC GD Constable Physical Efficiency Test
After passing the written exam, candidates need to appear for the physical efficiency test (PET). All the candidates need to pass the PET exam; otherwise, their candidature will be cancelled.

SSC GD Constable Physical Standard Test
Candidates who pass the written exam need to appear for the physical standard test (PST) along with the PET exam. The candidate who fails to qualify for the PST will have their candidature cancelled.

SSC GD Medical Test
Candidates who clear the Physical Standard and Efficiency Test (PET/PST) will be called for the Medical Examination. The medical standards are provided in the table below.
