RRB JE 2026 Exam Date Out
The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has finally announced the RRB JE Exam Date 2026 on 7th January 2026 on its official website at www.rrbcdg.gov.in. Candidates who have applied for the Junior Engineer vacancy in Indian Railways, must start preparing now as the RRB JE 2026 Computer-Based Test has been scheduled for 19th, 20th February and 3rd March 2026. The city intimation and admit card will be released 10 days and 4 days respectively before the exam date. RRB JE 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must fulfill the following eligibility conditions to apply for the RRB Junior Engineer (JE) Recruitment 2026. The eligibility criteria include age limit, educational qualification, nationality, and medical standards.

Maximum Age: 33 years

Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess the following qualifications from a recognized university or institution:
- For Junior Engineer (JE): Diploma or Degree in Engineering in the relevant discipline.
- For Chemical & Metallurgical Supervisor: Bachelor’s Degree in Science with Physics and Chemistry as main subjects with 55% marks.
- For Depot Material Superintendent (DMS): Diploma/Degree in Engineering from any recognized university.
Note: Candidates awaiting final results are not eligible to apply.
Nationality
Candidates must be:
- A citizen of India, or
- A subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or
- A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962, intending to settle permanently, or
- A person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or East African countries with the intention of permanent settlement in India.
Medical Standards

RRB JE 2026 Exam Pattern
- Both CBT 1 and CBT 2 are objective-type online exams.
- Each question carries 1 mark.
- Negative Marking: For every wrong answer, 0.33 marks will be deducted.
- CBT 1 serves as a screening test, and marks are not counted in the final merit list.
- CBT 2 is the main stage, and marks obtained here are considered for final selection.
- The difficulty level of CBT 1 is moderate, while CBT 2 includes more technical and subject-specific questions.
- The language of examination is available in English, Hindi, and other regional languages.
- Candidates must qualify at each stage to progress to Document Verification and Medical Test.

RRB JE 2026 Syllabus
The RRB JE Syllabus is designed to test candidates’ technical knowledge, reasoning ability, and general awareness. It is divided into two stages: CBT 1 and CBT 2.
