SSC CPO Exam Pattern 2025
The SSC CPO 2025 exam is conducted in two stages. The first stage is a computer-based test that includes four sections: General Knowledge, Quantitative Aptitude, General Reasoning, and English Comprehension. Each section has 50 questions carrying 50 marks. The second stage focuses only on English Language and Comprehension, with 200 questions worth 200 marks. SSC CPO Selection Stages
The SSC CPO Exam 2025 is conducted in multiple stages to recruit Sub-Inspectors in Delhi Police and CAPFs:
- Paper 1 (Tier 1): Objective CBT with 200 questions from Reasoning, GK, Quant, and English (200 marks, 2 hours).
- PET/PST: Physical tests like running, long jump, and height/chest measurements (qualifying in nature).
- Paper 2 (Tier 2): Objective CBT focusing on English Language & Comprehension (200 marks, 2 hours).
- Medical Test: Candidates must meet vision and health standards.
- Document Verification: Final stage for checking eligibility and certificates.
SSC CPO Tier 1 Exam Pattern 2025
- The first paper will have 4 subjects namely General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge and General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension.
- The language of the question papers will be in English and Hindi except for the English section.
- Questions in both papers will be of Objective Multiple Choice Type.
- There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in Paper-I & Paper-II.
- Marks scored by candidates in the computer-based Examination will be normalized.

Note:- Candidates have to qualify for the PET/ PST exam to appear for the Mains/ Tier 2 exam.
SSC CPO 2025 Medical Test
Criteria for the Medical Test are given below:
- Minimum Near Vision: N6 (better eye) and N9 (worse eye)
- Minimum Distant Vision: 6/6 (better eye) and 6/9 (worse eye)
- Must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein, or squint in eyes
- Eye standards should be without visual correction of any kind even by glasses.
SSC CPO Tier 2 Exam Pattern 2025
The SSC CPO Tier 2 exam will be held in an online mode and will include one paper featuring 200 questions focused on the English Language and Comprehension. The exam carries a total of 200 marks and must be completed within 120 minutes. If the exam is conducted in multiple shifts, SSC will apply a normalization process to adjust the scores fairly across all sessions.
