SBI PO Nationality

A candidate willing to apply for SBI PO 2026 must be from one of the following categories:

  1. The candidates must hold Indian Citizenship
  2. A Subject of Nepal or Bhutan
  3. A Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement
  4. A Person of Indian Origin (PIO) who has migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam or East African countries of Zaire, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Ethiopia, Malawi, with the intention of permanent settlement in India

SBI PO Educational Qualification (As on 30.09.2026)

  1. As per the SBI PO Educational Qualification, the candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university or an equivalent qualification approved by the Central Government.
  2. Final-year/semester students may apply on a provisional basis, provided they can present proof of their graduation passing on or before 30.9.2026, if selected for an interview.
  3. Candidates with an Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) certificate must ensure that their date of passing the IDD is on or before 30.09.2026. Those holding qualifications like Medical, Engineering, Chartered Accountancy, Cost Accountancy, etc., are also eligible to apply.

SBI PO Age Limit (As on 01/04/2026)

For the General category, candidates must be between 21 and 30 years of age. They should have been born between 02.04.1996 and 01.04.2005, inclusive of both dates. Candidates belonging to reserved categories are eligible for age relaxation as per the government rules mentioned in the table below.
