Simple Steps To Apply for the RRB Technician Exam 2025

Candidates are advised to go through the detailed instructions provided in the official notification regarding how to apply for the post online.

Step 1: Open the official website of the Railway Recruitment Board for online registration, which is https://www.rrbapply.gov.in/.

Step 2: Navigate to the ‘Apply’ section and select “Create An Account”.

Step 3: For new users, click on ‘Create an Account’ and fill in the necessary details like nationality, candidate’s name, father’s name, mother’s name, gender, and Aadhar number for verification.

Note*: This step applies to candidates who haven’t created an account for CEN 01/2025. Those who have can log in with their existing credentials.

Step 4: Provide personal information, including email ID and a working mobile number, then proceed to verify OTP.

Step 5: An OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number or email ID, and then enter the OTP to complete the verification process.

Step 6: Create a strong password and enter the captcha code displayed on the screen.

Step 7: Log in to the account using the password created in the previous step and complete the application form by entering all required information. If applying for a scribe, provide the necessary details for the scribe person.

Step 8: Upload essential documents, including the candidate’s signature and a colour passport-sized photograph in the prescribed format (scanned copies only).

Step 9: Pay the application fee through the payment methods as provided by RRB.

Step 10: At last, submit the form and take a printout of it.

Documents Required for Application Form

When submitting documents for the application process, ensure that each file meets the specified size requirements.

• The passport-sized photograph should range between 30 to 70 KB
• The SC/ST Certificate file size should not exceed 500 KB.
• Similarly, for the signature, maintain a file size between 30 to 70 KB.

If a scribe is needed, their passport‑size photo should also be between 30 KB and 70 KB. Adhering to these size limits ensures the files are properly formatted for upload and meet the application requirements without any issues.

Railway Technician Application Fees 2025

Candidates are required to pay an application fee online while filling out the application form. Only the candidates who attend the CBT will get a refund of their examination fee. The application fee to be paid is Rs. 500/-

RRB Technician Application Form Correction 2025

If you have already submitted your RRB Technician application form but need to make changes, you can use the application correction facility. The RRB Technician Application Modification Window will be available from 10th to 19th August 2025. During this period, candidates can edit or update their application details, except for certain fields such as email ID and phone number.
