Indian Army TGC 141 Nationality Criteria

The Indian Army welcomes applications from Indian citizens and citizens of friendly countries to apply for TGC Entry. To be eligible for the TGC Entry, candidates must meet the following nationality requirements:

Who Can Apply for TGC Entry 

  1. Indian Citizens
  2. Subjects of Nepal
  3. Persons of Indian Origin who have moved from:
  • Pakistan
  • Burma
  • Sri Lanka
  • East African countries (e.g., Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, Vietnam) intending to settle permanently in India.

Important Information:

  • Candidates from categories 2 and 3 must obtain a certificate of eligibility from the Government of India.
  • Gorkha subjects of Nepal do not need this certificate.
  • If a certificate is required, it must be attached to the application.

Indian Army TGC 141 Age Limit

to Apply for the Indian Army TGC 141 Entry, Candidates must be aged between 20 and 27 years old as of 1st July 2025. This means those born between 2nd July 1998 and 1st July 2005 are eligible to apply for TGC Entry. According to the notification, Only the date of birth recorded in the Matriculation/Secondary School Examination Certificate or an equivalent document will be accepted. No other age-related documents will be considered, and requests to change the date of birth after submission will not be entertained.

Indian Army TGC 141 Education Qualification Criteria

The Indian Army TGC Entry is only open to the Engineering Graduates in any discipline. Candidates should carefully read the eligibility criteria before going to the next step.

  • Education Qualification: Candidates must have completed or be in the final year of their Engineering Degree course.
  • Degree Certificate: Final year candidates must submit proof of passing the Engineering Degree Examination and mark sheets for all semesters/years by July 1, 2025. Candidates must provide their Engineering Degree Certificate within 12 weeks of the start of training at the Indian Military Academy (IMA).
  • Final Year Candidates: Candidates whose final year exams are scheduled after July 1, 2025, are not eligible to apply. Candidates may apply if they are studying in their final year but must submit proof of passing by the specified date.
  • SSB Interview : Final year candidates allowed to appear for the SSB must still submit the required documentation by the deadline.

Indian Army TGC Number of Attempts

Applicants can take the TGC 141 exam as long as they do not exceed the maximum age limit. There are no restrictions on the number of attempts allowed according to the TGC Indian Army Eligibility Criteria.

Indian Army TGC Experience
