The previous SSC Steno Skill Test, which was held in two shifts, was canceled due to technical issues and feedback received from regional centers. Now the SSC Stenographer Skill Test 2023 has been rescheduled to 10th March 2023 for the candidates who appeared in SSC Steno Exam 2023 conducted on 15th February 2023. SSC Stenographer Skill Test 2023

SSC Steno Skill Test is designed to test the candidates’ ability to transcribe spoken words into written text, as well as their proficiency in typing and other related skills. The SSC Stenographer Skill Test is done on both computers and Paper. The candidates will be dictated a passage of 800 and 1000 wpm for Group D and C respectively, depending upon the marks obtained by the candidate.

For Stenographer Group ‘D’: 800 words @80 words per minute (w.p.m).
For Stenographer Group ‘C’: 1000 words @100 words per minute (w.p.m).
The shorthand passage will then have to be transcribed on a computer in 50 minutes for Grade D and 40 minutes for Grade C.
