SSC GD Exam Pattern
SSC GD 2021 exam will be conducted in three different phases for recruiting candidates. The three phases are:
- SSC GD Written Exam
- PET (Physical Efficiency Test) & PST
- Medical Examination & Document Verification
SSC GD Written Exam
The Written Exam is conducted online and is an MCQ Paper. There is negative Marking in SSC GD Written Exam. 0.25 marks will be deducted against every question attempted wrong.

SSC GD PET Test
After qualifying the written exam candidates need to appear for the physical efficiency test (PET) by all the candidates. All the candidates need to qualify the PET exam otherwise their candidature will be canceled.

SSC GD PST Test
Candidates who qualify the written exam candidates need to appear for the physical standard test (PST) along with the PET exam by all the candidates. The candidate who fails to qualify the PST their candidature will be canceled.

SSC GD Medical Test
After qualifying the physical standard and efficiency test (PET/PST) candidates will be called for the Medical examination. The medical standard is given in the table below. If you fail the medical exam you will be given one more chance to get yourself medical fit.

Q. How do I prepare for the SSC GD exam?
Ans. As the exam is going to take place from August 02 to 25, 2021, candidates have plenty of time to prepare for the exam. Candidates must begin with an understanding of exam patterns and syllabus.
Q. Is the SSC GD Constable exam conducted online or offline?
Ans. The SSC conducts all the one-day exams online now, SSC GD is not different.
Q. Is there any negative marking in the exam?
Ans. Yes, there is 1/4 of negative marking in the exam.
Q. Is there any qualifying marks in the SSC GD exam?
Ans. Yes, there are qualifying marks for each category in the exam. Above the qualifying exam, there is also a cut-off mark decided by the commission.
Q. What is the marking scheme?
Ans. For each correct answer, candidates will get 1 mark and for each wrong answer, candidates will be penalized with 0.25 marks.
