RBI Assistant Result 2026 Date, Prelims Marks Download Link

The Reserve Bank of India has not yet released the RBI Assistant Prelims Result 2026, but it is expected to be declared shortly on the official website (opportunities@rbi.org.in). The Prelims exam was held on 11th and 13th April 2026, and typically, RBI takes 20-30 days to announce the results. So, candidates can expect the Prelims Result to be released anytime in the 2nd/3rd week of May 2026.

RBI Assistant Result 2026 Out Soon

The Prelims exam was held on 11 and 13 April 2026 in multiple shifts; hence, after normalising the marks and cut off, RBI will declare the Results. The Prelims is only qualifying in nature and merit is determined based on Mains marks.

The Prelims result will be released in PDF format, containing the roll numbers of qualified candidates for the Mains exam stage. The RBI Assistant Score Card and Cut Off may be released a few days after the result.

How to Check the RBI Assistant Prelims Result 2026?

Checking the result is very simple. Just follow these steps:

1. Go to the official RBI website at opportunities.rbi.org.in
2. Look for the link that says “Result of Online Preliminary Examination held on 11th and 13th April 2026 for Recruitment for the Post of Assistant –  Panel Year 2025”.
3. A PDF file will open.
4. Press Ctrl + F (or use the search option on your phone) and type your Roll Number
5. If your roll number is in the PDF, you have cleared the Prelims and are shortlisted for Mains
6. Download and save the PDF for future reference

RBI Assistant Selection Process

The selection has 3 stages:

1. Prelims: Qualifying stage. Marks are NOT counted in final merit.
2. Mains: This is the main exam. Your Mains marks decide your final rank and selection.
3. Language Proficiency Test (LPT): Qualifying. You must know the local/regional language of the state you applied for.

What happens after the Prelims Result?

The following events will proceed after the release of the Prelims Result:

• For qualified candidates, RBI will release the Mains Admit Card a few weeks before the Mains exam
• You will appear for the Mains exam (200 marks, 135 minutes)
• If you clear Mains, you go to the Language Proficiency Test (LPT)
• After LPT, the final merit list is prepared based on the Mains marks only
