How to Calculate SSC GD Marks?
To calculate your SSC GD raw score, use the official marking scheme. The exam consists of 80 questions worth a total of 160 marks. You will be awarded 2 marks for each correct answer, while 0.50 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer. No marks are deducted for questions left unattempted.
So, your raw score is calculated using this formula: (Number of Correct Answers × 2) – (Number of Incorrect Answers × 0.5).
SSC GD Marks Normalisation
The SSC GD Exam was held over multiple days and shifts, which means the difficulty level may have varied between sessions. To ensure fairness in the selection process, SSC uses a normalisation method to balance the scores. You can find the SSC marks normalisation formula below.

Why is the SSC GD Score Card Important?
- Shows your Section-wise Scores and overall marks, which help in assessing your performance.
- Confirm if you’ve qualified in the written exam and if you’re being considered for the next stage (PET or PST).
