SBI Circle-Based Officer 2026 Eligibility
The SBI CBO Eligibility Criteria include requirements for educational qualifications, age limit, work experience, nationality, and proficiency in the local language.
Minimum Qualification
- A graduation degree from a recognised university, including an Integrated Dual Degree (IDD).
- Applicants with Medical, Engineering, Chartered Accountancy, or Cost Accountancy Professional qualification.
SBI CBO Age Limit (As On 31/12/2025)
- Minimum Age: 21 years
- Maximum Age: 30 years

Experience Required for Circle-Based Officer post
Minimum of 2 years of experience as an officer in any Scheduled Commercial Bank or Regional Rural Bank listed in the Second Schedule of the Reserve Bank of India.
Local Language Test
LPT is only applicable for those who have not studied the local language in the 10th/12th class.
Any candidate can show their 10th/12th marksheet, then they need to appear for the LPT.
Candidates Not Eligible for Circle-Based Officer post
- SBI clerical or supervisory staff
- SBI contractual employees
- Officers who resigned from SBI or its Associate Banks
- Employees of subsidiaries of Scheduled Commercial Banks
- Candidates with unresolved loan or credit card defaults

The minimum salary requirement has been removed. Candidates from private sector banks no longer need to meet any specific salary criteria to apply.
