SSC CGL 2025 Exam Date
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the exam dates for SSC CGL 2025. According to the SSC Exam Calendar 2025:
- Tier 1 Exam will be held from 13th to 30th August 2025.
- Tier 2 Exam will take place in December 2025.

SSC One Time Registration (OTR) for CGL Exam 2025
Candidates must first complete the One Time Registration (OTR) on the new SSC website at ssc.gov.in before filling out the SSC CGL Application Form 2025. After completing the OTR, you will receive a Login ID and Password.
Important: Registrations on the old website (ssc.nic.in) will not be accepted.
During the OTR process, candidates must choose Aadhaar-based authentication. This is important because:
- It ensures your application won’t be rejected due to incorrect photo or signature uploads.
- If you choose Aadhaar-based authentication, you won’t need to carry a recent color photograph or photo ID on exam day.
Latest Update: After receiving multiple requests, especially from OBC/EWS candidates needing to update category or educational details, SSC has now allowed modifications in OTR till 30th June 2025.

SSC CGL Application Fee
The application fee is mandatory to be paid while filling out the application form and it can be paid online only till 5th July 2025 (11 PM). The payment can be made through BHIM UPI, Net Banking or by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, or RuPay Debit cards.
- The SSC CGL Application fee is Rs 100/- (One hundred only) for General and OBC Candidates
- There is no fee for Women candidates, candidates belonging to SC, ST, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) and Ex-servicemen (ESM).

Window for Application Correction
If by chance, after submitting the application form, you suddenly realize that you made a mistake, then do not worry because, SSC has provided the window for SSC CGL Application correction for 3 days from 9th to 11th July 2025 (11 PM). Candidates can modify the details in the online form only 2 times. For first time correction, candidates have to pay Rs. 200 and for second time correction, they have to pay Rs. 500.
SSC CGL Selection Procedure
SSC CGL Selection Process consists of two examination stages: Tier 1 and Tier 2. After qualifying both, candidates have to appear for Document Verification and there is no Interview in the process.

SSC CGL 2025 Exam Pattern
As mentioned above, there are two stages of examination and both are conducted in online mode.
SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam Pattern consists of 100 questions (each question carry 2 marks) and total marks is 200. Total duration of the exam is 2 hours and there is a negative marking of 0.50 and all questions are MCQ-based. There are four section and each section has equal number of questions and marks as shown below:

SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam Pattern has 2 Papers. Paper 1 is compulsory for all posts which includes Maths, Reasoning, English, GA, Computer Knowledge, and Data Entry Speed Test. Total Marks is 450 and Total questions are 150. There is a negative marking of 1 mark. Total duration is 2 hours 30 minutes. However, Paper 2 is only for the post of Junior Statistical Officer and it is of 200 marks and duration is 2 hours.
