The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will soon announce the SSC GD Physical Test 2026 Date on its official website after the declaration of the SSC GD Result. Candidates who qualify in the Computer-Based Test (CBT) will be shortlisted for the next stage of the selection process, which is the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST).

SSC GD Physical Test Dates 2026
The SSC GD Constable Exam 2026 was conducted from 27 April to 30 May 2026, and the provisional answer key was released on 15 June 2026. Once the result is announced, SSC will release the complete PET/PST schedule, admit card details, and reporting instructions.
Selected candidates will move forward to the next stage of the SSC GD Constable Selection Process, which is the Physical Test. The Test consists of measurements of height, weight, and chest (for males only), and physical efficiency tasks such as running for both males and females to assess their physical suitability for the Constable post. It is only qualifying in nature, and those who qualify will appear for the Medical Examination.
SSC GD Physical Test: Overview
The SSC GD recruitment is for the post of General Duty Constable in paramilitary forces like BSF, CISF, CRPF, SSB, ITBP, AR, NCB and SSF. The selection process includes CBT, PET/PST, DV, and Medical Examination.

SSC GD Physical Requirement 2026
The purpose of the qualifying SSC GD Physical Standard Test is to determine whether the candidates who have been shortlisted match the required physical requirements, which include chest measures, weight, and height. The SSC GD PST 2026 is different for male and female candidates. We have included a thorough description of each physical standard exam here.
SSC GD Physical Eligibility: Height
Candidates must be at least the required height to pass the SSC GD Constable exam. It differs according to the category and gender of the candidate.
- General and OBC Male- 170 cm
- General and OBC Female- 157 cm

SSC GD PST Chest Measurements

SSC GD Physical Endurance Test
The commission will conduct the SSC GD Physical Endurance Test following the PST test. Male and female candidates experience it differently. This section contains information about the SSC GD Physical Test, including the several tasks that applicants need to complete to move on to the next round.
- The SSC GD Physical Running Time for Male Candidates is five kilometres in 24 minutes.
- In 8.5 minutes, the female candidates for the SSC GD Physical Running Event will cover 1.6 kilometres.

SSC GD Medical Examination 2026
Those who pass the physical examination will be invited to the SSC GD medical examination. The Medical Officer will conduct it, and the requirements that applicants must meet to advance to this level are listed below. SSC GD Document Verification
SSC GD Document Verification is the final stage of the recruitment process after candidates clear the Computer-Based Test (CBT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), and Physical Standard Test (PST). During this stage, shortlisted candidates must present original documents and their photocopies for verification. These typically include:
- Matriculation/10th certificate (for age and educational qualification)
- Caste/Category certificate (for SC/ST/OBC/EWS)
- Domicile certificate (if applicable)
- Photo ID proof (Aadhaar card, Voter ID, etc.)
