SSC CHSL 2025 Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for the SSC CHSL Exam includes age limit and educational qualification. Applicant must be a citizen of India and should comply with the age limit and qualification.

SSC CHSL Age Limit 2025

To apply for SSC CHSL 2025, candidates must be between 18 to 27 years old. This means candidates should be born between 02 January 1999 and 01 January 2008 (both dates inclusive).

SSC CHSL Qualification Required

  1. For Data Entry Operator (DEO) / DEO Grade ‘A’ in the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Ministry of Culture, and SSC: Candidates must have passed 12th Standard (Science stream) with Mathematics from a recognized board or an equivalent qualification.
  2. For LDC / JSA and DEO / DEO Grade ‘A’ (except the DEO posts mentioned above): Candidates must have passed 12th Standard or an equivalent exam from a recognized Board or University.
  3. Candidates who are currently appearing in their 12th Standard or equivalent exam can also apply. However, they must have the required qualification by the cut-off date — 01 January 2026.

Number of Attempts

There is no limit to number of attempts that candidate can make in the SSC CHSL Exam. However, age limit is a factor that candidates have to be aware of. If anyone is out of the age limit, then they can not apply.

The SSC CHSL 2025 Registration process has officially started on the Staff Selection Commission’s official website www.ssc.gov.in. Candidates who wish to apply for posts like Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), and Data Entry Operator (DEO) can now fill out the online application form. The registration includes steps such as One-Time Registration (OTR), filling in personal and academic details, uploading documents, and paying the application fee. The last date to apply is 18th July 2025.

How to Fill Out the SSC CHSL Application Form 2025?

Candidates must apply online through SSC’s new website https://ssc.gov.in or the “My SSC” mobile app (available on Google Play Store). Detailed instructions are given below.

One-Time Registration (OTR):

If you haven’t registered on the new SSC website yet, you need to complete a new OTR at www.ssc.gov.in.

Aadhaar Authentication:

Candidates are encouraged to use Aadhaar-based authentication while completing their OTR. Those who do so won’t be rejected if their uploaded photo or signature is not perfect, and they won’t need to carry an extra photo ID to the exam.

Upload of Photograph and Signature:

The live photo will be captured for photograph section and upload your scanned signature in JPEG/JPG format (10–20 KB), size 6.0 cm wide x 2.0 cm high. Blurry or incorrect images will be rejected (except for Aadhaar-authenticated applications).

Before submitting the form, preview your application to make sure all details, photos, and signatures are correct. Keep a copy of your application for your records.

Note: The last date to submit the online application is 18 July 2025 (11:00 PM).

Application Correction Window

The application correction window will be open for 23rd and 24th July 2025. After the application is over, SSC will give 2 days for candidates to correct or update their online application. You can edit and resubmit your application up to 2 times during this correction window. Only candidates who have submitted their application and paid the fee on time will be allowed to make corrections.
