The SSC CHSL Tier 2 Exam Pattern has been revised and is now conducted in two sessions. Candidates who clear the Tier 1 examination are eligible to appear for Tier 2. Session I consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) from various subjects to assess a candidate’s knowledge and comprehension.

Session II includes a Typing Test or Skill Test, which evaluates typing speed and accuracy. Having a clear understanding of both sessions is crucial for effective preparation and better performance in the examination.

SSC CHSL Negative Marking

In Tier 1, a negative marking of 0.50 marks is applied for each incorrect answer. In Tier 2, 1 mark is deducted for every wrong response in Section 1, Section 2, and Module I of Section 3. SSC CHSL Resolution of Tie Cases

In the event of a tie in the scores of candidates appearing in the Tier 1 and Tier 2 examinations, the merit ranking will be determined by applying the following criteria sequentially until the tie is resolved:

1. Total marks of the Tier-II Examination.
2. Total marks in Tier-I Examination.
3. Date of birth, with the elder candidates, was placed higher.
4. Alphabetical order in which the first names of the candidates appear.
