RRB Technician Eligibility 2025
To be eligible for the RRB Technician positions, candidates must fulfill the age, nationality, and educational qualification requirements. The educational qualifications differ depending on the post: Grade 1 (Signal) mandates a B.Sc., Diploma, or Degree in relevant disciplines, while Grade 3 requires Matriculation along with an ITI certification or Apprenticeship in related trades.

The age limit for Technician Grade 1 Signal is 18 to 33 years, whereas for Technician Grade 3 is 18 to 30 years as on 1st July 2025. Age relaxation is provided to candidates belonging to reserved categories as per the norms.

RRB Technician Nationality
A candidate must belong to one of the following categories:
- A citizen of India
- A citizen of Nepal or Bhutan
- A Tibetan refugee who arrived in India before 1st January 1962 to settle permanently
- A person of Indian origin who migrated from specific countries (such as Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Kenya, etc.) to settle in India permanently
Candidates from these categories (excluding Indian citizens) must possess a Certificate of Eligibility issued by the Government of India.
About RRB Technician Recruitment 2025
The RRB Technician Recruitment 2025 is a nationwide hiring drive initiated by the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) to fill 6,238 Technician vacancies across various zones and production units of Indian Railways. The vacancies are divided into Technician Grade I Signal (Level 5) and Technician Grade III (Level 2) posts.
Candidates who have completed Matriculation, SSLC, or hold an ITI certificate in relevant trades from NCVT/SCVT-recognized institutions are eligible to apply. Candidates need to first register by entering their basic details like name, mobile number, and email ID. After registration, they will receive a login ID and password to access the application form. - Total Questions: 100 (Multiple choice questions)
- Negative Marking: 1/3rd mark will be deducted for each wrong answer
- Qualifying Marks (Minimum required to be eligible): UR/EWS: 40%, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) / SC: 30%, ST: 25%.

RRB Technician Grade 1 (Signal) offers a salary at Pay Level-5 with an initial pay of Rs. 29,200. Technician Grade 3 posts are under Pay Level 2, with a starting pay of Rs. 19,900.
