The Railway Recruitment Board has released the detailed RRB Technician Notification 2025 PDF, and a total of 6238 vacancies have been announced by the Board. The vacancy is to be filled for the posts of Technician in Grade I Signal and Grade 3 in the Pay Level 5 and 2, respectively. RRB Technician Notification 2025 PDF Out
The RRB Technician Recruitment 2025 (CEN No. 02/2025) is a great opportunity for candidates who are ITI Pass or Degree in Engineering and within the age of 18 to 33 years as on 1/7/2025. RRB Technician Eligibility 2025
To be eligible for RRB Technician posts, candidates must meet the age, nationality, and educational qualification criteria. Educational qualifications vary by post—Grade 1 (Signal) requires a B.Sc./Diploma/Degree in relevant fields, while Grade 3 requires Matriculation with ITI or Apprenticeship in related trades.

Railway Technician Age Limit (As on 1/7/2025)
The age limit for Technician Grade 1 Signal is 18 to 33 years, whereas for Technician Grade 3 is 18 to 30 years as on 1st July 2025. Age relaxation is provided to candidates belonging to reserved categories as per the norms.

RRB Technician Nationality
A candidate must be one of the following:
- A citizen of India
- A citizen of Nepal or Bhutan
- A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 to settle permanently
- A person of Indian origin who migrated from select countries (like Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Kenya, etc.) to settle in India permanently
Candidates from the above categories (except Indian citizens) must have a Certificate of Eligibility issued by the Government of India.
RRB Technician 2025 Application Process
The online application process for RRB Technician 2025 is simple and must be completed through the official website of the respective RRB zone. Candidates need to first register by entering their basic details like name, mobile number, and email ID. After registration, they will receive a login ID and password to access the application form. Upload scanned copies of their photograph, signature, left-hand thumb impression, and handwritten declaration as per the specified guidelines. The RRB Technician Apply online 2025 starts on 28th June 2025, and the last date to apply is 28th July 2025.
RRB Technician Selection Process
The Railway Technician Selection process has 3 stages as mentioned below:
- Computer-Based Test
- Document Verification (DV) and
- Medical Examination (ME)
RRB Technician Grade 1 (Signal) – CBT Exam Pattern
- Exam Duration: 90 minutes
- Total Questions: 100 (Multiple choice questions)
- Negative Marking: 1/3rd mark will be deducted for each wrong answer
- Qualifying Marks (Minimum required to be eligible): UR / EWS: 40%, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) / SC: 30%, ST: 25%.

RRB Technician Grade 1 and 3 Salary
RRB Technician Grade 1 (Signal) offers a salary at Pay Level-5 with an initial pay of Rs. 29,200. Technician Grade 3 posts are under Pay Level 2, with a starting pay of Rs. 19,900.
