RRB NTPC Eligibility Criteria 2025, Age Limit, Qualification, Physical Fitness

The eligibility criteria for RRB NTPC 2025 are based on Nationality, Age Limit, Educational Qualification, and Medical Examination.

Candidates who are citizens of India, subjects of Bhutan or Nepal, Tibetan refugees, and individuals of Indian origin who migrated from specified countries can apply for RRB NTPC 2025.

The age limit varies based on the category and educational level. For Undergraduate Level Posts it is 18 to 33 years and for Graduate Level Posts it is 18 to 36 years.

Educational qualifications vary for different posts. For example, a Degree from a recognized University is required for posts like Commercial Apprentice and Station Master, while Class 12 or its equivalent is sufficient for positions like Commercial cum Ticket Clerk and Trains Clerk. Typing proficiency is essential for specific roles.

The medical standards include specific visual criteria for different positions, categorized as A-2, A-3, B-2, and C-2. These criteria involve distance and near vision, and candidates must pass tests for Colour Vision, Binocular Vision, Night Vision, and Myopic Vision.

Candidates undergone LASIK surgery are not eligible for posts that require Medical Standards A1, A2 & A3. Please refer Annexure VIII. Candidates applying for posts with medical standard B1 & B2 are eligible subject to fulfilling condition mention in annexure-VIII.

Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe only can avail ‘Free Travel Authority’(free Railway Pass).

In case of eligible SC/ST candidates, their City Intimation Slip/e-call letter itself will contain the free travel authority (sleeper class railway pass). They will be allowed to book train reservation by submitting a self-attested photocopy of their City Intimation Slip/e- call letter and SC/ST certificate at the ticket booking counter. For further details, refer Para D 16.4 of CEN No. 05/2024.

No. EBC candidates are eligible only for fee concession. There is no reservation of posts for EBC candidates.

SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, PwBD, female, transgender, Minorities and Economically Backward Class candidates are eligible for fee relaxation.

Ex-Serviceman candidates who have already secured civil employment under Central Government in Group 'C' & erstwhile Group 'D' (including PSUs, Autonomous Bodies/Statutory Bodies, Nationalized Banks etc.) after availing of the benefits given to Ex- Servicemen will be permitted only the benefit of age relaxation as prescribed for Ex-Servicemen for securing another civil employment in a higher grade or cadre in Group 'C'/erstwhile Group 'D' under Central Government. Such candidates will not be considered against the vacancies reserved for Ex-Servicemen. Refer Para D 10.0 to D 10.5 of the detailed CEN No. 05/2024.

Candidates who attend CBT-1 are only eligible for ‘Refund of Fee’ (duly deducting bank charges) as given under Para D 7.0 of detailed CEN No. 05/2024. Please note that modification fee is nonrefundable.
