RPF Recruitment 2024 Apply Online for 4660 Constable and SI Posts

The Railway Recruitment Board (Ministry of Railways) is conducting the RPF Recruitment 2024 to appoint eligible candidates for 4660 Sub Inspector (Executive) and Constable (Executive).

So, If you are interested in joining the Railway Protection Force as an SI or Constable (depending on your eligibility) then you must apply for RPF Recruitment before 14th May 2024. The RRB has published the notification on its official website i.e. www.rpf.indianrailways.gov.in, announcing the online application date for RPF Constable and SI. RPF Recruitment 2024

RPF Notification 2024: Important Dates

The Online application and fee payment dates have been notified by the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) through the notification. The Last date to fill out the application form for RPF Recruitment is 14th May 2024.

RPF Apply Online 2024

Now, that you know about what is RPF recruitment is, then you can apply for Sub Inspector and Constable post by visiting the official website at www.rpf.indianrailways.gov.in. The online RPF Online Form portal is now active and candidates can apply according to their educational qualification and age limit for the SI and Constable post. Remember that the last date is 14th May 2024 and apply before it as there will be no extension on the last date to apply. The application process mainly consists of the registration process, document upload, and application fee payment.

How To Apply for RPF Recruitment 2024?

If you are applying for the post, you need to know the steps to apply for the SI and Constable posts. Candidates must essentially go through the notification PDF and important instructions related to the online application process to avoid any potential mistakes in the application form. Step 1 – Visit the Railway Protection Force’s official website at www.rpf.indianrailways.gov.in.

Step 2 – First Register yourself and then subsequently, you will receive a registration ID and password.

Step 3 – You can use the registration ID and password to log in and fill out the application form. Complete the application form by supplying all necessary information, encompassing personal details, educational qualifications, and other pertinent data.

Step 4- Upload scanned copies of documents and essential certificates (they should be the correct size and dimensions).

Step 5 – Pay the application fee and then review your application to verify the accuracy and completeness of the provided information. Once content, submit your application.

Application Fee

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has mentioned that the application fee for the online application process will be as per the norms. The candidates are required to pay the application fee online/offline (mode will be confirmed). For the application form, General/OBC category candidates are required to pay Rs. 500/- and SC/ST/Female/ESM/EBC candidates are required to pay Rs. 250/-.

RPF Constable and SI Eligibility Criteria

You must be looking for eligibility criteria for both the posts before applying. You are right, it is mandatory to ensure that you are eligible for the SI or Constable post before proceeding further. The Railway Recruitment Board has prescribed the age limit, educational qualification, physical measurements, and nationality for that purpose. Now, we will go through RPF Eligibilty for each post.

Nationality criteria is same for both posts. Candidates must be Indian citizen to apply.

RPF Constable Eligibility

You can check the details here for the Constable post. The RPF Constable Eligibility comprises of age limit between 18-25 years and they must have completed 10th from a recognised board.

RPF SI Eligibility

The RPF SI Eligibility Criteria 2024 is different from the Constable post. Candidates must have completed their Graduation from a recognized board, university, or institution in any stream. For RPF SI Posts your age should not be less than 20 years old. According to the rules, candidates under the maximum age restriction would have their age-restricted.

A total of 4460 vacancies have been released for the RPF Recruitment 2024. 4208 vacancies are for the RPF Constable and 452 Vacancies are for RPF SI posts. RPF Selection Process 2024

The RPF (Railway Protection Force) recruitment typically includes multiple stages to assess candidates for various positions, such as Constables and Sub-Inspectors. Check the details given below.

1. Computer-Based Test (CBT) – Phase I: Initial online exam covering General Awareness, Arithmetic, General Intelligence, and Reasoning.
2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Measurement Test (PMT) – Phase II: Qualified candidates from CBT undergo activities like running, long jump, and high jump. Physical standards vary by post.
3. Document Verification: Candidates provide the necessary documents to confirm eligibility.
4. Medical Examination: Successful candidates from document verification undergo a medical check to meet the required standards.
5. Final Merit List: Ranking based on performance in CBT, PET, PMT, and document verification.

RPF Exam Pattern 2024

To be selected for an RPF constable or SI post, you must pass a computer-based online exam. The following is the RPF Exam Pattern 2024 for Constable and SI posts. 

1. There is a negative marking of 1/3rd mark for each wrong answer marked by the candidate.
2. The duration of the exam is 90 Minutes (1 Hour 30 Mins).
3. The Exam shall be computer-based and questions will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) type.
4. The difficulty level of the questions for the Constable post will be as per class 10th (Matriculation).
5. The difficulty level of the questions for the SI post will be Graduation.

RPF Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

RPF PMT Standards for Constable and SI Post: The candidates are required to possess the minimum Physical Standards for the SI and Constable posts as mentioned in the table below.

RPF Document Verification

The final stage of selection will be the document verification round. Candidates who will clear all the stages will reach the DV round. In this round, the documents of the candidates like mark sheets, caste certificates, NOC Letters, and other important documents will be checked. Candidates who fail to produce the required documents as per the stated date will be disqualified.
