IBPS RRB 2023 Eligibility Criteria

The candidates must have to complete the following eligibility criteria to apply for IBPS RRB 2023. The eligibility includes education qualification, age limit, and experience, which have been detailed here.

IBPS RRB Age Limit (as of 01/06/2023)

  • For Officer Scale- III- Candidates should be above 21 years and below 40 years.
  • For Officer Scale-II- Candidates should be above 21 years and below 32 years.

IBPS RRB Selection Process

The IBPS RRB 2023 Examination consists of two stages: Prelims and Main. On the other hand, the IBPS PO or Officer Scale I examination involves three stages: Prelims, Mains, and Interviews. As for the IBPS Officer Grade II (General Banking Officer and Specialist Cadre) and III, there is a single-window exam known as the IBPS Officer Grade II Exam, followed by an Interview. To secure a position in any of these posts, candidates must successfully clear each stage of the respective examinations.

IBPS RRB Exam Pattern

As you know the IBPS RRB recruits candidates for two posts, i.e. Office Assistant/Clerk and Officer Scale. Therefore, the exam process is different for each of the exams.

IBPS RRB Office Assistant Exam Pattern

IBPS RRB Assistant 2023, Exam will be conducted in two phases:

  •  Preliminary Exam
  •  Mains Exam

No interview process will be conducted for selecting candidates for the post of Office Assistant. Selection will be made purely on the marks obtained by the candidate in his/her Mains Examination.

There will be a penalty of 0.25 marks for every incorrect response marked by the candidate. The test will be objective in nature.

IBPS RRB PO Selection Process

For IBPS RRB PO 2023, the exam will be conducted in three phases:

  1. Preliminary Exam
  2. Mains Exam
  3. Interview Process

The final selection will be made on the cumulative score obtained by the candidate in both IBPS RRB Mains Exam and the Interview. There will be a penalty of 0.25 marks for every incorrect response marked by the candidate.

IBPS RRB Social Distancing Norms

This time, exam centers will not display the candidates’ Roll Number and Room or Lab Number on their walls. Candidates will be informed about their Lab number in which they need to sit for the exam at the time of verification of Admit Card and ID at the exam center.

Candidates will be permitted to carry only certain items with them into the venue that are listed below:

a. Mask (WEARING A MASK is COMPULSORY)
b. Gloves
c. Personal transparent water bottle,
d. Personal hand sanitizer (50 ml)
e. A simple pen
f. Exam-related documents (Call Letter/Admit Card, ID card in Original, Photocopy of ID Card, etc)
g. Call Letter/Admit Card should be brought with the Photocopy of the Photo ID stapled with it. Original
ID (same as Photocopy) is also to be brought for verification. The name on the ID and the Call Letter/Admit Card should be the same.
h. In case of Scribe Candidates – Scribe form duly filled and signed with Photograph affixed.

What are the posts for which IBPS RRB conducts the recruitment process?

IBPS RRB conducts recruitment for the post of Office Assistant (Multipurpose) and Officer Grade I, II, III posts.

What is the Selection Process For IBPS RRB 2023?

Candidates applying for Office Assistant will have to appear for the prelims and mains exam only.  Candidates applying for IBPS PO will have to appear for the Prelims, Mains, and Interview. Candidates applying for Officer Scale Post II and III will have to appear for Mains and Interview.

Can a candidate apply for multiple posts?

Yes, you can apply for Office Assistant and Officer Grade Post also. But you can apply only for one post in the Officer Grade Category.

How many times can I appear for IBPS RRB Exam?

You can appear as many times but with respect to the age limit. There no restriction in IBPS RRB for the no. of attempts.

What is the application fee for IBPS RRB Exam 2023?

A total of Rs. 850/-  for General Category and Rs 175/- for SC/ST/PWD/Ex-Servicemen category candidates based on last year's notification.

Can Candidate attempt IBPS RRB exams in Hindi language?

Yes, for all IBPS RRB exams, candidates can attempt exam in Hindi language except English subject Paper.
