IB Security Assistant Exam Pattern 2025
The Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 exam pattern for the IB Security Assistant position is provided below:
- The exam pattern has been slightly changed, and the exam will now consist of 5 different sections.
- The online test will last for 60 minutes (1 hour).
- A total of 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) will be asked in the Tier 1 Computer-Based Test (CBT).
- Each incorrect answer will result in a penalty of ¼ mark (negative marking).
- Tier 2 is an offline descriptive exam worth 50 marks, requiring translation of a 500-word passage from a local language to English and vice versa.
- Tier 3 is conducted to assess the candidate’s suitability for the post.

IB Security Assistant Tier 2 Syllabus 2025
Candidates who successfully clear the Tier-1 examination for IB Security Assistant will move on to the Tier-2 Exam, which is divided into two sections:

Part 1 (Common for all candidates) | This section involves the translation of a 500-word passage from a local language or dialect into English, and vice versa. This is an offline descriptive test carrying 40 marks and will be 1 hour in duration. |
Part 2 (Only for SA/Exe. candidates) | This part assesses spoken ability, which will be evaluated during the Tier-III exam (Interview/Personality test). |
The Tier-II exam is only qualifying in nature, and candidates need to score at least 20 out of 50 marks to be eligible for the SA/Exe posts.
