EPFO SSA Selection Process 2026

The candidates will have to undergo a selection process as set by the EPFO in order to qualify for the post of Steno & SSA. Once the candidates clear all the stages of the selection process, they will be selected for the post. The stages of the selection process will be as follows.

• Computer-Based Test (Phase-I)
• Skill test (Phase-II) (Computer Data Entry Test)

EPFO SSA Exam Pattern 2026

The written exam pattern of the EPFO SSA Recruitment 2026 includes the following subjects:

• Negative Marking: 1/4th
• Time Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes (150 Minutes)
• Mode of Exam: Objective Type Test

EPFO Steno Exam Pattern 2026

• EPFO Steno prelims examination comprises 150 questions for 4 marks each. The total time duration prelim exam is 2 hour 10 minutes (130 Minutes).
• There is a negative marking of 1/4 for each incorrect answer.
• EPFO Steno Prelims exam will be objective type and after qualifying for the examination candidates will be eligible for phase 2 (Skill test)

EPFO SSA Skill Test 2026

Candidates can check the EPFO SSA Skill Test details here. The skill Test shall be computer-based.

• The candidates will appear in the Skill Test to qualify for the speed and accuracy for Data Entry Work.
• The required typing speed in English is 35 words per minute or 30 words per minute in Hindi on Computer.
• The 35 words per minute and the 30 words per minute can be explained as 10500 Key Depressions per hour (KDPH), which is 5 key depressions for each word.

EPFO Stenographer Skill Test

• Dictation: 10 minutes at the rate of 80 words per minute. (Dictation will be computer-based)
• Transcription: 50 minutes (English) / 65 minutes (Hindi). (Only on the computer)
