According to the BOB LBO notification, applicants should be aged between 21 and 30 years as of 1st July 2025. However, candidates from reserved categories may receive upper age limit relaxations in line with government guidelines.

Educational Qualification

1. Candidates must have completed Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University/Institute, including an Integrated Dual Degree (IDD).
2. Professional qualifications in Chartered Accountancy, Cost Accountancy, Engineering, or Medical are also accepted.

Note: Qualification must be from institutions recognised by the Government of India/AICTE.

Post Qualification Experience

Candidates must have at least 1 year of experience as an officer in any Scheduled Commercial Bank or Regional Rural Bank, as listed in the Second Schedule of the Reserve Bank of India.

Not Eligible: Experience in NBFCs, cooperative banks, payment banks, small finance banks, or fintech companies will not be considered

Language Proficiency

Candidates must be proficient in the local language of the state for which they are applying – this includes reading, writing, and comprehension.

Following categories of Candidates are NOT eligible for BOB LBO Recruitment

1. People who have worked in NBFCs, cooperative banks, payment banks, small finance banks, or fintech companies are not eligible.
2. Former Bank of Baroda employees who left an officer-level job or contract job within the last 3 years are not allowed to apply.

Bank of Baroda LBO Exam Pattern 2025

The Bank of Baroda will hold an online examination for the Local Bank Officer (LBO) post. The exam consists of four sections: English Language, Banking Knowledge, General/Economic Awareness, and Reasoning & Quantitative Aptitude. Candidates will have 30 minutes to complete each section, resulting in an overall exam duration of 2 hours (120 minutes). BOB LBO Language Proficiency Test

Candidates must be able to read, write, and speak the local language of the state they are applying for. Those who clear the online exam will have to take this test. If they fail, they won’t be allowed to appear for the personal interview, and their application will be rejected.

However, candidates who studied the local language in their 10th or 12th standard (and have a mark sheet or certificate as proof) don’t need to take the LPT.
