The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released the much awaited RRB NTPC Graduate Level Exam Date 2025 for Computer Based Test for Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC). As per the official RRB Notice, the RRB NTPC CBT Exam 2025 will be conducted from 5th to 23rd June 2025 (15 days) across all Zones of RRB.
So, Candidates who applied for RRB Advt. No. CEN No. 05/2024 for 8113 Graduate level vacancies are now required to appear for the exam on their allotted exam date which will be issued through the city intimation slip. For further details, read below.
RRB NTPC Exam Date 2025 Out
This year, for RRB NTPC 2025 Examination, a total of 12167679 (1.2 crore) applications have been received out of which 58,40,861 applications are for Graduate level posts such as Goods Train Manager, Junior Accountant Assistant cum Typist, Senior Clerk cum Typist, Chief Commercial cum Ticket Supervisor and Station Master. The NTPC Exam Date is released for all Zones such as Ahmedabad, Ajmer, Prayagraj (Allahabad), Bangalore, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Bilaspur, Chandigarh, Chennai, Gorakhpur, Guwahati, Jammu and Kashmir (Srinagar), Kolkata, Malda, Mumbai, Muzaffarpur, Patna, Ranchi, Secunderabad, Siliguri, Thiruvananthapuram.

RRB NTPC Exam City Intimation Release
The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) will release the RRB NTPC Exam City Intimation Slip 2025 10 days before for candidates appearing in the NTPC examination. This slip provides information such as the city where the exam center is located and helps candidates plan their travel accordingly. It is important to note that the city intimation slip is not the admit card. Candidates are advised to download the slip from their respective RRB regional websites, after it is released, as soon as possible to avoid any last-minute confusion or inconvenience
RRB NTPC Exam Admit Card 2025
The admit card is a document issued by the RRB on its respective Zonal websites. It is essential to carry the admit card to the exam center, as it contains important details about the candidate, such as their name and roll number. Candidates can download it by logging in with their registration ID and password. For the RRB NTPC Exam, the admit card will be made available 4 days prior to the exam date. As per the official notice NTPC official admit card will be announced 4 days before the exam.
RRB NTPC Exam Shift Timing
The RRB NTPC CBT 1 Exam 2025 will be conducted in 3 shifts and candidates have to reach at the exam centre as per their reporting time mentioned on the admit card. The shift wise exam timing and reporting time is given below.

RRB NTPC CBT 1 Exam Duration
The exam duration of RRB NTPC Computer Based Test Stage 1 is 1 hour 30 minutes or 90minutes. There is no sectional timing in the exam.
RRB NTPC CBT 1 Exam Pattern 2025
The RRB NTPC Exam will be conducted in online mode only and it will be conducted in 15 regional languages (as per RRB Zone) such as English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.
The exam includes 100 MCQ type questions carrying 1 mark each and questions will be asked from General Awareness, Mathematics, and General Intelligence and Reasoning. The subject-wise question is as follows:
- General Awareness: 40 Qs
- Mathematics: 30 Qs
- General Intelligence and Reasoning: 30 Qs.
- Total Questions: 100
- Total Marks: 100
Negative Marking in CBT 1 Exam
Yes, there is a negative marking of 1/3rd for each wrong answer marked by the candidates.

RRB NTPC Undergraduate Level Vacancy Details
The RRB NTPC 2025 exam will fill a total of 3445 vacancies for various undergraduate-level posts across different railway departments. These positions offer an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to pursue a career with the Indian Railways. The vacancies are spread across the following posts.
- Junior Clerk cum Typist: A total of 990 vacancies are available for the position of Junior Clerk cum Typist.
- Accounts Clerk cum Typist: There are 361 vacancies for the Accounts Clerk cum Typist position. This role requires candidates to handle accounts-related tasks, maintain financial records, and assist in accounting work.
- Trains Clerk: The position of Trains Clerk has 72 vacancies. The main duties of a Trains Clerk include managing train-related schedule.
- Commercial cum Ticket Clerk: The largest number of vacancies, 2022, are available for the Commercial cum Ticket Clerk position.
RRB NTPC Selection Process
The RRB NTPC selection process consists of multiple stages: Computer Based Test (CBT) 1, followed by CBT 2, a typing skill test (for applicable posts), and document verification. Candidates must qualify each stage to proceed further. Final selection is based on the overall performance in these assessments.
- Computer Based Test Stage 1: The CBT 1 exam is conducted for all posts and it features 100 questions of 1 mark each. The total duration is 90 minutes and questions are MCQ type.
- Computer Based Test Stage 2: The subjects asked in CBT 1 and CBT 2 are some but the difficulty increases in CBT 2. Only those who qualify CBT 1, are called for CBT 2. It carries 120 questions of MCQ type:
- Typing Skill Test: This stage is conducted only for Senior Clerk cum Typist and Junior Account Assistant cum Typist post and candidates appear for this stage after qualifying CBT 1 and CBT 2.
- Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT): This is conducted for the post of Station Master to test their psychological aptitude.
- Document Verification: At the end of all examination, those who manage to pass all, will be called for Document Verification where their original documents will be verified.

Exam Day Guidelines for RRB NTPC Exam 2025
It is important to follow rules and regulations mandated by RRB for the NTPC Exam Day. So, below we have shared some tips for the candidates to follow for smooth functioning:
- Take your admit card along with a valid photo ID and passport-size photograph.
- Reach the exam centre at least 1 hour before the exam starts.
- Do not bring any prohibited items such as expensive jewelry, bluetooth devices, electronic gadgets, paper chits, etc.
- Carefully check your seat inside the exam centre and quietly sit there. In case you face any difficulty finding it, then ask the staff present there.
- Cooperate with the staff during identity verification.
- When the exam starts, do not get overwhelmed on seeing the questions, just take deep breath and read the questions.
- Do not spend much time on a single question and move on to other if you are not sure about the answer.
- After the exam is over, leave your seat only when asked.
