RBI Grade B Short Notification 2026 Out
Candidates who hold a Graduation or Post-Graduation degree and fall within the age limit of 21 to 30 years are eligible to apply for the post. The notification PDF provides complete details regarding the application process, eligibility criteria, post-wise salary, job profile, and selection process.

RBI Grade B Apply Online Link
The online application process for RBI Grade B 2026 will commence on 29th April 2026 on the official website at www.opportunities.rbi.org.in. Candidates can now register, upload documents, pay the application fee, and submit the online form. But remember the process should be complete before deadline, 20th May 2026.

RBI Grade B 2026: Who is Eligible to Apply?
Only candidates who fulfil the strict eligibility criteria related to age, educational qualification, nationality, and number of attempts will be allowed to apply.
Age Limit
Candidates must be between 21 and 30 years of age as on the date specified in the official notification.
Age Relaxation
- SC/ST candidates will get 5 years relaxation
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates will get 3 years relaxation
- Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) will get 10 to 15 years relaxation depending on the category
- Additional relaxation is also provided to candidates holding M.Phil (up to 32 years) and Ph.D (up to 34 years)
Educational Qualification
Educational requirements vary across the three streams:
General Stream: Candidates must hold a Graduation degree in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD). Postgraduates need 55% marks (pass marks for reserved categories). Professional qualifications such as CA, CS, or ICWA are also accepted.
DEPR Stream: A Master’s Degree in Economics or Finance (including Quantitative Economics, Financial Economics, Mathematical Economics, etc.) with at least 55% marks.
DSIM Stream: Master’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematical Statistics, Econometrics, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning or Big Data Analytics with 55% marks. Four-year Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields or PGDBA is also acceptable.
Number of Attempts
There is no restriction on the number of attempts for SC, ST, OBC, and PwBD candidates (subject to the upper age limit). However, General and EWS category candidates can appear for the RBI Grade B exam a maximum of 6 times.
Nationality
Applicants must be either:
- A citizen of India, or
- A subject of Nepal/Bhutan, or
- A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962, or
- A person of Indian origin who migrated from specified countries with the intention of permanently settling in India.
