RBI Grade B Selection Process Phases

  1. Phase-I or Prelims: This is an online objective-type exam with four sections: General Awareness, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability. Each section carries equal weight, and the total duration is 2 hours.
  2. Phase II or Mains: It is also an online exam, divided into three papers: Economic and Social Issues, English (Writing Skills), and Finance and Management/Economics/Statistics. The duration for each paper varies, and there is a 50% descriptive section in the both ESI and FM Papers
  3. Interview: Candidates who qualify in Phase 2 are shortlisted for the interview, which holds a weightage of 75 marks. The final selection is based on the aggregate scores of Phase 2 and the interview.

RBI Garde B Selection Process 2024 Phase 2

  • There are three separate papers in the main exam.
  • For RBI Grade B Officers in Gr B (DR)- General, candidates have to appear for papers I, II, and III.
  • For RBI Grade B Officers in Gr B (DR)- DEPR & DSIM, candidates have to appear for papers II and III.
  • Paper I & III are 50% Objective & 50 % descriptive while Paper- II is Descriptive only.
  • Each paper will be worth 100 marks.
  • The English paper is a descriptive test.
