The uniform of the Indian Navy has been inherited from the Royal Navy. Mainly, Indian Navy has three different colored uniforms i.e. White, Blue, Black.

Indian Navy Uniform: Dress No 1 and 3

• Peak cap/white turban
• White full sleeved shirt
• Black tie
• Black jacket, Stripes on sleeves (Officers and MCPO/ CPO)
• Turn back on lapels (Midshipmen)
• White twisted cord on lapels (Cadets)
• Arm badges (POs and below),
• Medals (Dress No 1),
• Ribbons (Dress No 3),
• Name tally,
• Chest badges
• Black winter trousers,
