Why Was SSC GD Exam 2026 Postponed?
The SSC GD Exam postponement is due to the scheduling of major events and the recruitment process remains completely intact. The SSC GD Exam 2026 has not been cancelled; it has only been postponed. All registered candidates remain eligible to appear in the rescheduled exam.
Major Change: Self-Slot Booking Cancelled
The Commission cancelled the self-slot booking facility, going back to the old method where SSC automatically allots exam dates and cities. This means candidates will no longer be able to choose their preferred exam date, shift, or city. They will directly receive their allotted exam city via the City Intimation Slip, released 8-10 days before the exam.
