Men's Hockey World Cup 2023 starts in Odisha, Download Schedule Details
FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup 2023 is very important sports event for various government exams including banking, SSC and even prestigious UPSC Exam. The importance of Men’s Hockey World Cup 2023 further enhanced due to the fact that this edition is being hosted by Odisha, India.
15th edition of FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup 2023, will see participation of 16 countries, divided into four pools (A-D), competing for the winning title. During the Hockey World Cup 2023 group stage, each team will play three hockey matches.
The four pool winners will advance to the quarter-finals while the teams finishing second and third in their pools will have to play crossover matches for the remaining four quarter-final spots.
The four pools/groups in the Hockey World Cup 2023 are listed below-
Pool A: Australia, South Africa, France, Argentina
Pool B: Belgium, Japan, Korea, Germany
Pool C: Netherlands, Chile, Malaysia, New Zealand
Pool D: India, Wales, Spain, England
Hockey World Cup 2023 Schedule: 15th Edition of Men’s Hockey World Cup 2023 begins from January 13 at Bhubaneswar. In the tournament’s first FIH Hockey World Cup match, Argentina will compete against South Africa. In the year 2018 FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup championship game, Belgium defeated the Netherlands.
