LIC AAO Exam Pattern 2025
The LIC AAO Prelims and Mains exams will be conducted in an online mode. The LIC AAO exam is going to have three stages, namely,
- Preliminary Exam (or Phase 1)
- Main Exam (or Phase 2)
- Interview
LIC AAO Prelims Exam Pattern (Generalist)
The Preliminary Examination (Phase 1) is an online objective test with a total duration of 1 hour (60 minutes). There will be no negative marking in this stage. For the Generalist Post, there is no sectional cut-off; however, candidates must secure the minimum qualifying marks specified below.

LIC AAO Interview 2025 Details
The final stage of the LIC AAO 2025 recruitment process is the Interview (Phase III). Only those candidates who qualify in the Main Examination will be shortlisted for this stage. The interview round is crucial, as the marks obtained here will be added to the main exam marks to prepare the final merit list. Candidates must secure the minimum qualifying marks to move forward in the selection process.
Details of LIC AAO Interview (Phase III):
- Conducted only for candidates who clear the Main Exam.
- The interview carries 60 marks in total. (30 marks – EWS/UR/OBC, 27 marks – SC/ST/PwBDAround three times the number of vacancies will be called for interview, depending on category and merit.)
- Final Merit List = Marks of Main Examination + Interview Marks.

- Higher educational qualifications are given preference
