 Export Credit Guarantee Corporation of India (ECGC) has released a job opportunity notification for candidates for Probationary Officer vacancies. The organization operates under the control of the Ministry of Trade and Industry and it recruits eligible candidates for PO posts every year. This year, 40 vacancies have been notified and selection will be done on the basis of Online exams and Interviews. As on 9th September 2024, a short notice regarding the ECGC PO 2024 Exam has been released and the detailed notification will be released by ECGC. The online application process started on 14th September 2024 and the last date to apply is 13th October 2024.

ECGC PO 2024 Application Fee

After filling out the application form, candidates have to pay the application fee to complete the online application process. The application can be paid online only and it is Rs. 850 for General/OBC/EWS candidates and Rs. 175 for SC/ST/PwD. The fee can be paid through internet banking, UPI, Debit/Credit Card, etc.

Step 1- Visit the ECGC website at https://www.ecgc.in/.

Step 2- Go to the Careers section and choose the option “Current Openings”.

Step 3- After that the registration page will open and click on “Click Here for New Registration”. Choose the option for new registration and register using a valid email id & phone number.

Step 4- Complete the application form with the required details and upload the scanned copy of the photograph and signature, thumb impression, and handwritten declaration.

ECGC PO Recruitment 2024 Eligibility Criteria

The ECGC PO Eligibility criteria include nationality, age limit, and educational qualification. The candidate must be a citizen of India. It is important for the candidates to adhere to the eligibility criteria in order to be suitable for the job. Check the details below.

ECGC PO Educational Qualification (As of 01/09/2024)

Candidates applying for the ECGC PO Recruitment must possess a Bachelor’s Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a recognized university and institution. The candidate must possess a valid mark sheet / Degree Certificate that he/ she is a graduate on the day he/she registers and indicate the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while registering online.

ECGC PO Age Limit (As of 01/09/2024)

Candidates who completed 21 years of age and do not exceed 30 years of age are eligible to apply for the ECGC PO Recruitment 2024. Relaxation in the upper age limit of the candidates belonging to the reserved category is applicable as per Govt. of India Norms.

ECGC PO Age Limit Nationality / Citizenship

1. a Citizen of India or
2.  a subject of Nepal or
3.  a subject of Bhutan or
4.  a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
5.  a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with intention of permanently settling in India provided that a candidate belongs to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

ECGC PO 2024 Selection Process

The selection of candidates for the  ECGC PO Recruitment 2024 will be done in the following stages:

1. Online Test ( Objective & Descriptive )
2. Interview

The marks weightage of the Online Examination and interview will be 80:20 respectively. The candidate must qualify for both stages to get selected.

ECGC PO Objection Paper Exam Pattern

The ECGC PO exam is a Computer-Based Exam consisting of a total of 200 questions, carrying a maximum of 200 marks. The duration of the exam is 2 hours and 20 minutes, allowing candidates to manage their time effectively across all sections. This format requires candidates to be proficient in answering a wide range of questions within the allocated time. There is a negative marking of 0.25 mark.

ECGC PO Descriptive Paper Exam Pattern

The candidates have to appear in a descriptive test of 40 marks with a duration of 40 minutes.
