SSC CHSL Tier I 2020-21 Exam was held from 12th to 26th October 2020 for the remaining candidates. Candidates clearing the First stage was Eligible for the second stage of the examination.

  • SSC has released the merit list and minimum cut off marks required to qualify the SSC CHSL Tier 1 on January 15, 2021.

SSC CHSL 2021 Eligibility Criteria

All the aspiring candidates of SSC CHSL 2021 have to abide by all the Eligibility Criteria decided by the Commission.

  1. Nationality

  • Candidate of SSC CHSL 2021 must be a Citizen of either India or Nepal or Bhutan. If a candidate is a citizen of Nepal or Bhutan shall have a Certificate of Eligibility issued by the Government of India in favor of him/her.

2. Educational Qualification

  • Educational/Technical Qualification & Experience:–  
    (A) The basic requirement is a pass certificate in class 12 from a recognized board or university.
    (B) For the post of DEO in the office of Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG),
    applicants must have studied science and mathematics as main subjects in Class 12th.

Note: Candidates who are appearing in their 12th standard can also apply provided they produce the educational qualification and the documentary evidence from the board/ university as of January 1st, 2021

3. Age Limit (as of 01 January 2021)

SSC CHSL 2021 Selection Procedure

  • SSC CHSL 2021 Selection Process is based on the result of all three tiers.
  • Candidates need to qualify for each tier to appear in the subsequent tier.
  • The final selection list is prepared by shortlisting applicants based on their cumulative performance across the first two tiers.
  • Tier 3, a skill-based test is a final stage to ensure that candidates possess the required skills. This stage will be qualifying in nature.
  • After qualifying all the three tiers the candidates will be called for the Document Verification.
  • Candidates will be allotted to the various departments for the post of Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistants, Data Entry Operators, Lower Divisional Clerks, and Court Clerks based on their merit and preference of post.

SSC MTS Syllabus 2021: Selection Process

To get a fair idea about SSC MTS 2021 Syllabus, it is necessary to know the exam pattern for the same. SSC Multi Tasking Staff Exam is conducted for two papers – Paper I and Paper-II. Paper I consists of objective type multiple choice questions while Paper II has descriptive questions.

The candidates will have to clear the cut-off for SSC MTS Paper I to appear for Paper-II. SSC MTS Paper I is crucial from the point of selection as an MTS.

Paper-II is only qualifying in nature. However, marks scored by the candidates in Paper-II will be used to decide merit in case more than one candidate score equal normalized marks in Paper-I.

SSC MTS Syllabus 2021: Exam Pattern For Paper I

SSC MTS 2021 Notification will be out in February 2021 (tentatively). The notification was supposed to be out on June 2nd but it has been delayed.

  • The SSC MTS Paper I will be bilingual i.e. both English and Hindi language, except the English section.
  • There are 100 questions in Paper I of 1 mark each.
  • There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong attempt by the candidate. No marks will be deducted for unanswered questions.
  • The total duration of SSC MTS Paper I is 90 minutes for the general candidates while 120 Minutes for PwD candidates.

SSC MTS Syllabus 2021: FAQ’s

Q. When will SSC MTS Exam 2021 be conducted?
Ans. SSC MTS Exam 2021 will be conducted for two Papers. Paper, I will be held from July 07 to 20 2021 while Paper-II dates are yet to be announced.

Q. Is there any negative marking in SSC MTS Paper?
Ans. Yes, there will be a negative marking of 0.25 in Paper I for an incorrect answers. Paper-II will be qualifying in nature only.

Q. What is the syllabus for SSC MTS Paper I?
Ans. SSC MTS Paper I will have four sections: General English, General Intelligence and Reasoning, Numerical Aptitude, and General Awareness.

Q. What is the syllabus for SSC MTS Paper-II?
Ans. A short essay is to be written or letter in English or any language included in the VIII Schedule of the Constitution.

Q. Is SSC MTS conducted online or offline?
Ans. SSC MTS Exam is conducted in two parts: Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 is MCQ-based and will be conducted online while Paper 2 will be the descriptive test and will be conducted in pen and paper mode.

Nationality

  • Candidate of SSC CGL must be a Citizen of either India or Nepal or Bhutan. If a candidate is a citizen of Nepal or Bhutan shall have a Certificate of Eligibility issued by the Government of India in favor of him/her.

Instructions to fill SSC CGL Application Form 2021

  • Click on the link mentioned above and you will be redirected to the SSC official site directly.
  • A page will be opened where you will get the registration and login form.
  • If you are already registered for SSC Exams, then fill in the login details to apply for SSC CGL. But if you are not registered, then first you need to fill the registration form.
  • After login, go to “Apply Now” and fill in all the required details i.e Name, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Education Qualification, Address, educational qualifications, and all the degrees you hold, etc.
  • After that Fill in your communication address and Upload your Photo and signature.
  • Before submitting the form, preview your details.
  • Once you submit the form, the next step is to pay your fee. The application fee is acceptable in online and offline modes.
  • Pay your fee through Debit/Credit card/Net Banking/E-Challan if applicable.
  • Click on submit and Your form will be submitted successfully.

SSC CGL 2021 Selection Process

The SSC CGL Exam is conducted in four stages: || Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3, and Tier 4. ||

  • Tier-I: Computer Based Examination
  • Tier-II: Computer Based Examination
  • Tier-III: Pen and Paper Mode (Descriptive paper)
  • Computer Proficiency Test/ Data Entry Skill Test (wherever applicable)/ Document Verification

The candidates who secure the SSC CGL Cut-off in Tier I will be able to appear for the Tier II Exam.

  • Separate cut-offs will be fixed for Paper-III of Tier-II (i.e. for the post of JSO and Statistical Investigator Grade-II), Paper-IV of Tier-II (i.e. for the posts of Assistant Audit Officer and Assistant Accounts Officer), and for Paper-I + Paper-II of Tier-II (i.e. for all other posts).
  • Tier-II and Tier-III Examinations will be conducted for all the candidates qualified in Tier-I.
  • In Tier-II, all the candidates will be required to appear in Paper-I and Paper-II. However, only specific candidates shortlisted for the posts of JSO/ Statistical Investigator and Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer will be required to appear in Paper-III and Paper-IV respectively.

Marking Scheme For SSC CGL Exam

Normalization: Marks scored by candidates in Tier-I and Tier-II examinations, if conducted in multiple shifts, will be normalized and such normalized scores will be treated as final and will be used for qualifying the candidates to the next stage of examination and to determine final merit.

  • SSC CGL 2021 Tier 1 and Tier 2 exam will be conducted in online mode.
  • The time duration of Tier-1 will be 60 minutes.
  • The time duration of Tier-2 will be 120 minutes. 60 minutes each for English & Quants.
  • Tier-3 will be a descriptive paper of 100 marks within 60 minutes in pen and paper mode.
  • No Sectional Cut off
  • No Interviews: The interview component has been dispensed with. There will, therefore, be no interview
  • Skill Test: The Skill Test will be of qualifying nature
  • Final Merit List: The merit will be prepared on overall performance in Tier-I, Tier-II, and Tier-III.However, the candidate will need to qualify all the tiers i.e Tier-I, Tier-II, and Tier-III separately
  • Minimum Mark Required for Descriptive: Only those candidates who secure at least the minimum qualifying marks in the written examination as may be fixed by the Commission at its discretion will be eligible to appear in the SKILL TEST.
  • Minimum qualifying marks in Tier-I, each Paper of Tier-II and Tier-III Examination are as follows:
    UR: 30%
    OBC/ EWS: 25%

SSC CGL 2021 Document Verification

All the candidates qualified for Document Verification are required to come for Document Verification. Those who fail to do so will not be considered for any post at the time of final selection. Candidates will have to submit copies of various documents like Matriculation Certificate, educational qualification, caste certificate, relevant document, if any relaxation is taken, etc. Candidates will be required to produce all documents in original for verification at the time of document verification. Information about the required documents will be provided while calling candidates for DV. Detailed options for posts will be taken either online or at the time of document verification.

SSC CGL 2021 Latest Changes

  1. Minimum qualifying marks in Tier-I, each Paper of Tier-II and Tier-III Examination are as follows:
    UR: 30%
    OBC/ EWS : 25%
    Others: 20%
  2. Tier-II and Tier-III Examinations will be conducted for all the candidates qualified in Tier-I.
  3. In Tier-II, all the candidates will be required to appear in Paper-I and Paper-II.
  4. However, only specific candidates shortlisted for the posts of JSO/ Statistical Investigator and Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer will be required to appear in Paper-III and Paper-IV respectively.
  5. The exam date for Tier 2 & Tier 3 will be available soon.
  6. Only for those candidates who had Qualified Tier II, Tier III sheet will be evaluated.
  7. Based on the aggregate performance of qualified candidates in Tier-I, Tier-II, and Tier-III Examinations, candidates will be shortlisted for Document Verification and Skill Tests i.e. Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) and Data Entry Skill Test (DEST).
  8. Skill Tests are mandatory but qualifying in nature. If a candidate does not appear in Skill Test or fails to qualify for the Skill Test, he/ she will not be eligible for the posts where CPT/ DEST is mandatory.
  9. Preference of posts will be taken from the candidates either online before DV or at the time of Document Verification.

SSC CGL 2021 Admit Card

SSC is going to release the Admit Card of SSC CGL 2021 in May 2021. The Admit Card For SSC CGL Tier II 2021 will be released 4-5 days before the exam.

SSC CGL Result 2021

  • SSC CGL Result has released the result of SSC CGL Tier 1 in June 2021.
  • Minimum qualifying marks in SSC CGL Tier I and Tier II are as follows:
    UR: 30%
     OBC/ EWS: 25%
    All other categories: 20%
  • Based on their performance in all the Tiers, candidates will be shortlisted for appearing in Medical Examination. Candidates, who are successful in Medical Examination, will be called for detailed Document Verification.
  • Marks scored by candidates in Computer Based Examination will be normalized and such normalized scores will be used to determine final merit and cut off marks.

In the event of a tie in scores of candidates in Tier-I+Teir-II+Tier-III examinations, merit will be decided by applying the following criteria, one after another, till the tie is resolved:

  1. Total marks of the Tier-II Examination.
  2. Total marks in Tier-III Examination.
  3. Total marks in Tier-I Examination.
  4. Date of birth, with the older candidate, placed higher.
  5. Alphabetical order in which the first names of the candidates appear.

  1. SSC MTS merit list for recently conducted Paper-II will be based on the candidate’s performance in the exam.
  2. SSC MTS Paper 2 was the descriptive test of 50 marks.
  3. SSC MTS Paper-II was intended to test elementary language skills because of the categorization of the post as Group-C and given job requirements.
  4. The merit list will be based on the marks secured by the candidates in the tier II paper
  5. SSC MTS Paper-II is both qualifying and scoring in nature. However, marks scored by the candidates in Paper-II will be used to decide merit in case more than one candidate score equal normalized marks in Paper-I.

SSC MTS Document Verification

After the publication of the SSC MTS Tier II Result, the successful and qualified candidates will be called for the document verification (DV) process. This will be the last stage. The DV schedule, venue, and other details will be intimated to candidates through online mode in due course.

All the candidates will be required to carry the following documents in original and a photocopy of each of the documents to the verification center on the dates mentioned in the call letter.

  • Two passport size recent color photographs
  • One original Photo ID Proof {Aadhaar Card/ Printout of E-Aadhaar, Voter ID Card,  PAN Card, Passport, Driving License, Government School/ College ID Card, Employer ID (Govt./ PSU)}

SSC MTS Selection Process

The SSC MTS Selection Process is a two-stage procedure.

  1. SSC MTS Paper I: Written Test
  2. SSC MTS Paper-II: Descriptive Test

Paper-1 is an online exam which is an objective multiple choice question type.
Paper-2 is a pen and paper mode of examination which includes writing a short essay or letter in English or
any language is included in the VIII Schedule of the Constitution.

Paper-II will only be of qualifying nature and is intended to test elementary language skills. Paper-II will be held only for those candidates who meet the cut-off prescribed by the Commission in Paper-I for different categories.

Paper-II is only qualifying in nature. However, marks scored by the candidates in Paper-II will be used to decide merit in case more than one candidate score equal normalized marks in Paper-I.

SSC MTS 2021 Exam Pattern

The paper pattern for SSC MTS saw a change in the previous year session of the exam.

  • The exam consists of two papers i.e. Paper I & Paper 2.
  • Paper 1 is conducted online while Paper 2 is pen and paper-based.

  • SSC MTS Paper I will have four sections.
  • The duration of SSC MTS Exam will be 90 minutes for General Candidates and 120 minutes for PwD Candidates.
  • The Paper I is an objective type paper with four MCQ’s out of which one will be correct.
  • There will be a negative marking of 0.25 for every wrong answer.
  • No marks will be deducted for incorrect or unattempted question.

SSC MTS Paper-II will be held only for those candidates who meet the cut-off prescribed by the Commission in Paper-I for different categories.

  • SSC MTS Paper-II will be pen and paper mode paper which will be descriptive in nature.
  • The Paper will be set in Hindi, English and other languages mentioned in the VIIIth Schedule of the Constitution.
  • The maximum marks are 50 marks.
  • The duration of SSC MTS Paper-II is 30 minutes for General Category and 40 minutes for PwD Category of candidates.
