SSC CGL Tier 3 Syllabus 2020

SSC has decided to conduct a Descriptive Paper instead of an Interview in SSC CGL for all the candidates who qualify SSC CGL Tier 2 Examination. SSC CGL Tier 3 Descriptive Paper (Pen and Paper Mode) is introduced to test the writing skills of the candidates. The exam is conducted in offline mode (Pen and Paper Mode). The paper is in English/Hindi language and will constitute of 100 marks. Candidates have to complete the entire paper in 60 minutes.

SSC CGL Tier 4 Syllabus 2020:

SSC CGL Tier 4 Exam is a Computer Skill Test. SSC CGL Tier 4 is conducted in two steps:

  1. Skill Test in Data Entry (DEST) Test and
  2. Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) Test.

DEST: Candidates are required to type 2000 words in 15 minutes on a computer in English. This test is conducted to check a candidate’s typing skills. Candidates are given an article in English which they have to type on Computer. For the post of Tax Assistant (Central Excise and Income Tax), DEST Exam through the SSC CGL 2020 exam is conducted to check the typing speed of the candidate.
CPT: This test is conducted to check a candidate’s proficiency in Word Processing, Spreadsheets and Generation of Slides are the three areas that are tested by the SSC for the post of CSS, MEA, Inspector (Central Excise), Inspector (Preventive Officer), Inspector (Examiner).
Note:- SSC CGL Tier 4 is qualifying in nature, no marks will be rewarded in SSC CGL Tier 4.
Candidates have to score well in all the Tiers i.e., Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 and also qualify in Tier 4 of SSC CGL to get the desired post and location.

SSC has released the revised exam calendar again on 21st July 2020 for the remaining exams of 2020. Everyone was so hopeful this year as SSC is strictly following its calendar. Important Document to Carry with Prelims Admit Card

  1. Candidates need to carry One Photo Identity Card with having the same Date of Birth as printed on Admit Card.
  2. If the Photo Identity Card does not have the Date of Birth then the candidate must carry an additional certificate, in original, as proof of Date of Birth.
  3. In case of mismatch in the Date of Birth mentioned in the Admission Certificate and the photo ID/the certificate brought in support of the Date of Birth, the candidate will not be allowed to appear in the examination.
  4. Passport size photographs.

Important Document

  1. Candidates need to carry One Photo Identity Card with having same Date of Birth as printed on Admit Card.
  2. If the Photo Identity Card does not have the Date of Birth then the candidate must carry an additional certificate, in original, as proof of Date of Birth.
  3. In case of mismatch in the Date of Birth mentioned in the Admission Certificate and the photo ID/the certificate brought in support of the Date of Birth, the candidate will not be allowed to appear in the examination.
  4. Passport size photographs.

SSC JE Exam Pattern

  • SSC Junior Engineer examination consists of two papers. Candidate should clear Paper 1 first in order to be eligible for Paper 2.
  • Candidates who successfully qualify both the exams will be Participating in the recruitment process and shall be on probation for the period of 2 years.
  • During the probation period, Candidates would require to undergo such training or pass examination as prescribed by the Controlling Authority.

SSC JE Exam Pattern 2020: Tier 1

SSC JE Tier 1 comprises 200 questions in total with maximum marks of 200. SSC JE Tier 1 is of 120 minutes. SSC JE Tier I is divided into three sections with 50 questions in two sections namely Reasoning and G.S and 100 in engineer branch section. Normalization is done by SSC if an exam is conducted in multiple shifts.
The sections asked in SSC JE Tier 1 Exam are:

  • General Intelligence and Reasoning
  • General Awareness
  • General Engineering (Civil & Structural) or General Engineering (Electrical) or General Engineering (Mechanical)

Important Points:

  • For every wrong question there is a negative marking of 0.25 marks also.
  • In General Engineering section, candidates have to attempt the sections as per their branches (i.e., either civil or mechanical or electrical).
  • If the candidate does not attempt the General Engineering section as per the instructions are given in Paper – I, then his answer sheet will not be evaluated by the board.

SSC JE Important Instructions to Candidates

BEFORE APPLYING, CANDIDATES ARE ADVISED TO GO THROUGH THE INSTRUCTIONS GIVEN HERE, VERY CAREFULLY.
  1. The Commission will not undertake detailed scrutiny of applications for the eligibility and other aspects at the time of written examination and, therefore, candidature will be accepted only provisionally. The candidates are advised to go through the requirements of educational qualification, age, physical standards etc. and satisfy themselves that they are eligible for the post(s) before applying. Copies of supporting documents will be sought at the time of document verification. When scrutiny is undertaken, if any claim made in the application is not found substantiated, the candidature will be cancelled and the Commission’s decision shall be final.
  2. Candidates seeking reservation benefits available for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PwD/ExS must ensure that they are entitled to such reservation as per eligibility prescribed in the Notice. They should also be in possession of the certificates in the prescribed format in support of their claim.
  3. Candidates with physical disability of 40% and more only would be considered as Persons with Disabilities (PwD) and entitled to reservation for Persons with Disabilities.
  4. Central Government Civilian Employees claiming age relaxation should produce a certificate in the prescribed format from their office at the time of document verification in respect of the length of continuous service which should be for not less than three years during the period immediately preceding the closing date for receipt of application. They should remain Central Government civilian employees till the time of appointment in the event of their selection.
  5. Fee payable: Rupees one hundred only (Rs.100/-) payable through SBI Challan/ SBI Net Banking or by using Visa, MasterCard or Maestro Credit/ Debit card. Fee is exempted for all Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Ex-Servicemen eligible for reservation.
  6. Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances. Fee paid more than once for the same applications with service charge etc. will also not be refunded.
  7. Candidate should note down and retain ‘Registration-ID’ and ‘Password’ provided to them while making ‘One-Time Registration’ which is required for filling online application.
  8. When application is successfully submitted, it will be accepted ‘Provisionally’. Candidate should take printout of the application form for their own records. Printout of the ‘Application Form’ is not required to be submitted to the Commission at any stage.
  9. Only one online application is allowed to be submitted by a candidate for Combined Graduate Level Examination-2020. Therefore, the candidates are advised to exercise due diligence at the time of filling their application forms. In case, more than one applications of a candidate are detected, the Commission will consider latest application. If a candidate submits multiple applications and appears in the examination (at any stage) more than once, his/ her candidature will be cancelled and he/ she will be debarred from the examinations of the Commission for three years.
  10. The candidates must write their name, date of birth, father’s name and mother’s name strictly as given in the matriculation certificate otherwise their candidature may be cancelled at the time of document verification or as and when comes into the notice of the commission.
  11. Applications with illegible/ blurred Photograph/ Signature will be rejected summarily.
  12. Request for change/ correction in any particulars in the Application Form, once submitted, will not be entertained under any circumstances.
  13. Candidates are advised to fill their correct and active e-mail addresses and mobile number in the online application as correspondence may be made by the Commission through e-mail/ SMS.
  14. The candidates must carry at least one latest photo bearing identification proof such as Driving License, Voter Card, Aadhaar Card, Identity Card issued by University/ College, Income Tax Pan Card, etc in original to the Examination Venue, failing which they shall not be allowed to appear for the same.
  15. Mobiles and other electronic gadgets including Bluetooth devices are banned within the premises of the examination centers. Possession of such equipment whether in use or in switch off mode, during the examination will be considered as use of unfair means. Candidature of such candidates will be cancelled. They will be liable for further action including initiation of criminal proceedings and debarment from commission’s examination up to 3 (three) years, as may be decided by the commission.
  16. In case of Fake/ fabricated application/ registration by misusing any dignitaries name/ photo, such candidate/ cyber cafe will be held responsible for the same and liable for suitable legal action under cyber/ IT act.

SSC JE Admit Card 2020

SSC will release the JE Admit Card after the application process is over. The expected date is generally 10-15 days before the exam date, as the exam is postponed, when the new dates are announced then the admit card dates will be updated.

SSC JE Result 2020

  • SSC JE Result will be released after a month of SSC JE Exam.
  • Minimum qualifying marks in SSC JE Tier I and Tier II are as follows:
    UR: 30%
     OBC/ EWS: 25%
    All other categories: 20%
  • On the basis of their performance in all the Tiers, candidates will be shortlisted for appearing in Medical Examination. Candidates, who are successful in Medical Examination, will be called for detailed Document Verification.
  • Marks scored by candidates in Computer Based Examination will be normalized by using the formula published by the Commission through Notice No.1-1/2018-P&P-I dated 07-02-2019 and such normalized scores will be used to determine final merit and cut off marks.
  • Tentative Answer Keys will be placed on the Commission‟s website after the Examination. Candidates may go through the Answer Keys and submit representations, if any within the time limit given by the Commission through online modality only, on payment of Rs.100/- per question.
  • Any representation regarding Answer Keys received within the time limit fixed by the Commission at the time of uploading of the Answer Keys will be scrutinized before finalizing the Answer Keys and the decision of the Commission in this regard will be final. No representation regarding Answer Keys shall be entertained later.

SSC JE 2020 Resolution of Tie Cases

In the event of tie in scores of candidates in Tier-I+Teir-II examinations, merit will be decided by applying following criteria, one after another, till the tie is resolved:

  1. Total marks of Tier II Examination.
  2. Total marks in Tier I Examination.
  3. Date of birth, with older candidate placed higher.
  4. Alphabetical order in which the first names of the candidates appear.

SSC has postponed the CHSL result as the exam for all the candidates was not conducted because of COVID-19 lockdown. SSC was conducting the SSC CHSL Tier 1 exam from 17th to 28th March 2020 but the commission has stopped the examination process on 19th March because the government has announced the lockdown and social distancing to contain the spread of Corona Virus. SSC has released the fresh dates for the remaining candidates exam. We can expect the result date after the exam is conducted successfully.

SSC CHSL Result for Tier 1 2020

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is going to release the SSC CHSL ( Combined Higher Secondary Level ) Tier 1 Result in the month of December 2020 (tentatively) after the release of answer key in the month of November 2020. The marks of the Paper I will be included in the merit list of the SSC CHSL Examination. SSC conduct CHSL for the Post of Lower Division Clerk, Junior Secretariat Assistant, Postal Assistant, Data Entry Operator.

Steps to check SSC CHSL Result 2020

  1. Go to the official website of ssc.nic.in or Direct Link will be available after the declaration of the result.
  2. Look and search for the tab “SSC CHSL Result 2020”.
  3. Click on the tab and a PDF document will open on the screen.
  4. Enter the command CTRL+F and search your roll number in the PDF.

Candidates are requested to check their marks and match it with the cut off according to their respective category. This will be easier for the candidates to check their qualification for the next round. Qualified Candidates can now start preparing for the next round of the exam, i.e, skill test and document verification.

SSC CHSL Result 2020 Important Points

SSC CHSL 2020 Tier I Exam is going to held on 12th to 16th, 19th to 21st and 26th October 2020 for remaining candidates. Candidates clearing the First stage was Eligible for the second stage of the examination.

  • SSC is going to release the merit list and minimum cutoff marks required to qualify the SSC CHSL Tier 1 in December.
  • Candidates who qualify SSC CHSL Tier 1 will appear for Tier 2 exam.
  • Only those candidates who clear the SSC CHSL Tier 1 Cut Off will be called for the next level.
  • The merit list prepared after tier 2 will form the basis for skill test exam.
  • Candidates who qualify Skill Test stage will be considered selected, however, marks obtained in skill test exam will not be considered in preparing the final merit list.
