‘Sustain: The Craft Idiom’: It is a Cultural Exhibition that is being organized by the Ministry of Culture as part of 2nd Cultural Working Group of G20 India Presidency. ‘Sustain: The Craft Idiom’ exhibition is also important for UPSC Prelims Exam and UPSC Mains Exam (GS Paper 1- Art and Culture, Various Cultural events and exhibitions for Promoting Indian Art and Culture).
Union Minister for Culture, Tourism, and DoNER, Shri G. Kishan Reddy, along with Chief Minister of Odisha, Shri Naveen Patnaik, inaugurated a specially curated cultural exhibition called ‘Sustain: The Craft Idiom’ during a side event at the Second G20 Culture Working Meet in Bhubaneswar.
The cultural project titled ‘Sustain: The Craft Idiom’ is an exhibition specifically curated for the 2nd G20 CWG meeting taking place in Bhubaneswar, Odisha from May 14 to 17, 2023.
‘Sustain: The Craft Idiom’ is composed of three constituent experiences – Akshara, Stambh, and demonstrations by master artisans and teachers – which encapsulate these manifold aspects. The exhibition showcases more than 35 crafts and various languages and scripts of India through objects and live teaching demonstrations.
