JEE Advanced Exam Pattern 2020:
JEE Advanced is a computer-based online test which is conducted in 2 sessions Morning ( 9 to 1 AM) and Afternoon (2:30 to 5:30 PM). JEE Advanced has two papers I and II which has 3 sections of Physics, Chemistry and Maths. The examination pattern of JEE Advanced is different from JEE Mains as JEE Mains has only MCQs but JEE Advanced has different types of questions including numerical based questions.

Types of Questions Asked In JEE Advanced
There are sections in JEE Advanced examination:
- Section 1:MCQs
- Section 2: Numerical based questions
- Section 3: Single MCQs (Paper I) and Matching list questions (Paper-II)
The exam duration is 3 hours for both papers and the total marks allocated is 360. Both the papers are in English and Hindi and it is compulsory for students to attempt both papers. JEE Advanced paper is very unpredictable and only practising can lead to attaining a high score. Also, JEE Advanced contains most questions from Class 11 and Class 12 concepts.
